no the recommended is just the bushes alone, if youre really hung up about not having a colourful mount (which is hidden beneath the car btw) then while its off, paint it! why pay 50-70 quid over the odds for something you already have.

plus if your car is lowered, the dogbone mount WILL get scraped on bumps etc, mine has...glad i didnt pay for a nice colourful one! :)

Err, how? It sits above the line of the wishbones; surely they'd hit the ground first?

One way of protecting it would be to fit the S3 lower wishbone brace, also has the handy side-effect of tightening the front end up :)

speed bump. they type that are just islands, slowly over, track of the car just catches the edges of the island, doesnt lift the car enough and GRIND, take alook underneath and its the dogbone mount thats taken it. thats how 4 now ;)

cuprauk yes you can get a stealth eip dog bone mount, comes in silver (OE) or blue with EIP written on it, I have the silver one.

paul, you get what you want to get and what you can afford. I got mine cheap so I went for it (I did not pay full RRP) I just went for old one off and new one on, job done.

You evaluate what people have said on here and make your mind up, you are paying the money so it's up to you buddy.

Now fitted

Just thought I would mention that I have now fitted the EIP dogbone mount, all torqued up to the correct settings, can honestly say that the car feels more connected as mentioned on here before, I can honestly say that I cant feel any extra vibrations on idle or when the air con is on, must of torqued the bolts up spot on, well happy! easy job too ;)

I got my eip dogbone mount for £55, fitted it myself so that was free! just bought myself a torque wrench in order to do the correct torque settings, you can pick these up fairly cheap, if you dont have the tools im sure you could find a local friendly garage to do it, only takes about 10 mins to do it. I would imagine £20 for a garage to do it.

Hi c_ya, where did you get yours from?

I got a set of HPA dogbone bushes today. Big improvement on the wheelspin/engine bounce side but I'm not sure if I can live with the vibration at idle yet. Having to tie everything down in the car to stop it rattling.
