What do people think to Matt Neal going to team vauxhall ?
:confused::confused::confused:[:@]

Strange one.

I don't know the reasons why Matt Squeal went to VXR but I think though he unquestionably is a better teamate than Chilton I cannot be so sure to say he is a better teammate than Giovanardi.

Looking at the talents of the two I would say Giovanardi is possibly better than Sqeal.

Though he unquestionably will have a better car under him I cannot be so sure as to say his car will better than Giovanardi's.
Looking at how much Giovanardi was able to get the most from his setup last season I think Squeal will find it hard to get a similar amount out of his Vectra.

So yes he will pose a threat but I think his threat will come from within. Giovanardi. I think anything he can do better than other drivers Giovanardi will do better than him.

Thanx for that

Neal and Giovanardi on the same team may turn out a bit like the Alonso/Hamilton situation at Mclaren. Matt is used to being top dog/prima donna in the team with Daddy watching (or should that be wiping ) his butt for him. He'll probably have to pay second fiddle to a more naturally talented driver and then team orders which won't favour him, I just can't see it being a happy year for him. Shame ;)

Interesting to see that the 2 Chevy Lacettis entering the BTCC are being allowed to keep their WTCC engine dispensation, in exchange for 25kg of ballast? If that's the case, then would SEAT think about either their high compression engine or the flat floor? Or a flat floored diesel?

The series has a new title sponsor: Hi-Q tyre centres.

I did but not on the forums:)

Apparently they're gettings a free 'sponsered' supply of panels and parts as part of the deal (handy if they have another year like this one lol) and one of the cars is Priualx championship winning machine.

No buyers for the Toledos as yet....

Possibly, though Jackson Motorsport are aiming to run 2 BMW's, whether they have bought 2 2007 machines or kept Mat's 2006 Priaulx car that Mat used last year is unknown at the moment.

Motorbase don't say in their PR that it's Priaulx's, but do mention Schnitzer involvement and that the cars will be prepared to 2008 specification.

That'll be similar to what WSR, Jacksons and Rick Kerry had going with BMW dealerships. Means they can save more money towards those expensive carbon bumpers from BMW Motorsport! Somebody told me the price of them this year, but I can't remember exactly how much they were. Several thousand pounds anyway.........

If they're getting the cars from Schnitzer, I can only assume that it will be the cars of Farfus and Jorg Muller they are getting.

I think it was Matt Neal that said a BMW bumper is £2000 - which is from when they were considering what cars to go for in 2006.

Actually re Neal moving to Vauxhall I heard it's simply because Dynamics need more money, which freeing up the seat to Chilton has done.
