I did logs with SMIC and FMIC and on an unmapped car gained 2 PSI boost

i'm feeling simple tonight; can you explain this? does the n75 not limit the boost? how does the change of intercooler make a difference; volume & flow characteristics i guess? cheers.
 
N75 controls the boost but doesn't limit the boost.
The fueling, density of air, compression, boost pipe volume and turbo all mount up to limit the boost pressure.
In my case the colder/denser air with a smaller volume in the boost pipes allowed me to have increased the boost pressure by 2 PSI
 
I noticed a slight increase of boost, peaked higher and now holds an extra psi. It does feel slightly quicker bit it couls be all in my head.

Pipework might not be to everyone's taste, i'm going to ahve another go and fit my fog light grills. I have had to cut the fog light and i'm going to fit a smaller number plate.

I think the key question is, how much power do want from your car which determines what FMIC would suit best?

if its up to 300bhp and you are on a budget (which I see you are), then the ebay ones will be fine

if you are going BT, then the tried and tested route of the Forge or PA kit is better. PA kit IMO is better suited for BT applications

I think I read somewhere from someone on here that the ebay kits were too small for BT applications....as expected I suppose, as they are not that big
 
my fmic was only £600 from forge with pipe work an its the big comp one
 
there £690 on the forge site with vat i didnt pay vat, an yes it is the big one
