Just bought a set of Rockford Fostgate 16" components to fit in my leon . But i need a new head unit too or else it is pointless lol.

16.5cm I was told, with adapter though, originals are 13cm I think

Adapters are **** mate.

Ive cut some mdf rings out and putting some sound padding in the doors and between the mdf and the door.


Much better quality mate. if you cant cut i believe caraudiodirect.com does them for a tenner.

James, how wide did you make the MDF rings? 2cm, 2.5cm? According to a pic I saw somewhere, it looked like 2.5cm, but want to make sure.

it doesnt really matter i dont think lol. I made mine 2.5cm as it adds i bit more strength id say. and they are 1/4 inch thick

Originals are about 13m so make sure you measure twice drill once.
