I think the lighter on mine is switched. I'll have to double check it.
I wonder if there is a delay on it.
Well if it's all wired correct then it's faulty. Or something is happening in your car that removes supply to it.
Either way that is not how the gauges should behave.

Have you got your pod sorted yet wisejason?

no mate... I've had to chase Awesome a bit. They still haven't got it in stock and its going to be another week yet. I think they might of been having issues with the supplier. After the wait I hope its worth it, I'll be gutted if it turns out a bit naff.

Well i went out this morning changed the colour to red came back to the car and its still red:) i will wait until my next trip and see if its changed, i don't know if its connected but my HU forgets the station settings but only if i switch the HU off, but if i just switch the ignition off then it remembers it:confused: i know i swapped the wires around. Is it possible that the positive live is going off intermittently at some point, vag-Com's not throwing any faults.

Cheers everyone. I have the auto-gauge one at the moment but I've never been happy with how it looks at night.

The black face ones look better at night. Seems the white background in all the gauges cause the illumination to flood it and make the whole gauge look too red.
Black ones (as in the pic from my gauge) doesnt have this happen at all - and if you look at Lee's pic the white one illuminated all flooded looking.
But suppose if you want it to match white dials of the car then has to be put up with.
Personally if i had white dials and used the black pod i would choose a black faced gauge anyway to make it blend in better

Yeah that looks better now alright.
Why do you have the scangauge set to three things that you can read straight from the normal dials?
Stick bhp on there at least.

Glow shift gauges were in my lcr when i bought it but dont no if they are wired right as i dont seem to be able to change any colours, if somebody could tell me how you are ment to change the colours ? i have pressed the black small button on the front and all that happens is the blue light goes to black then back to blue :(

fitted mine today, plumbing into the boost pipe went suprisingly smoothly for me and gauge works fine (slight buzzing but hardly noticeable).

Rushed the wiring a bit, and no lights are coming on at all :( Black to ground screw above fuse box, orange and purple to switched +12v (blue/grey wire on headlight switch) and yellow to constant 12v (red wire)

Will recheck wiring tomorrow, but i've noticed the button on the front doesnt push in properly, so just hope its not knackered.
