ibiza mk2 f2 front bumper

hi all. i just got my ibiza f2/bravus front bumper through. i went to trial fit it but seems like its off by a mile. was wondering if anyone else on here has bought the same kit and if they fitted it themselves??

I am sure when Surcalation fitted his he said that it was slightly wider at the arches. I maybe wrong but something along those lines comes to mind.

Im sure the Reiger version of it fits better, but like I said, I maybe wrong.

where did you buy it from?

mines an official ibherdesign bumper and it fitted pretty much spot on, with just a bit of trimming on the front mounting lugs....

copies proly arent going to be as simple though

mines a proper ibherdesign one from stx styling. the sides seem really wide out and the mounting lugs don't line up to good. i was expecting to have to play with it a bit but i cant even mount it to do anything with it

ah fair enough...
heres an idea of what i had to trim...

trimmed the mounting lugs on the top front of the bumper... these were trimmed to allow the bumper to sit in lign so its a good place to start...
then the edges around the front of the front wings needed trimming a bit, but thats it
the bumper did stick out a bit at either side, but when you screw it to the inner arches, they pull it in

i would of gone with gaffa tape but your idea is just a good

even the mounting lugs dont seem to want to line up. might just find a cheap bodyshop and get it done there. haven't got the arch liners any more so cant clip it on to that. a bodyshop might be able to make some plates up or something for it to attach to.

ah yea... the arch liners are what hold the sides on...
The bumper lugs dont lign up with anything, you just have to drill 2 holes in the front cross member and bolt it to that
