Lets try and keep this thread for the owners of LCRs that have or have had issues on their own cars - thanks.
Are non LCR owners allowed to reply?, or is this like the return of turbovet, or whatever that frog was called. They are the same car and engine anyway.
1. Engine sensor failed - fixed 5mins, well done dealer (Parkstone BTW, the one slated earlier in the thread)
2. Swimming pool in passenger footwell. - very annoying, trying to be dealt with by a very understanding dealer (Not parkstone).
The dealers are problems, there are not enough around, and it is difficult to find a good one. I live in chelmsford, county town of essex, and the dealers are 25miles north or 25 miles south!.
I thought Slim_Boy_fat was saying that porsche have a very good record for being long lived cars. I would love a 1990 964 911. I doubt there will be any LCR's on the read in 10-15 years.
Of course, porsche could just be long lived as owners spend so much on them.

Its the same car, but with a different turbo, slightly different engine internals, tweeked suspension and some plastic bits tacked on to make the different body kit.
My points were relevent to this thread, as I doubt they have different temp sensors for the R (Gold plated prehaps?, this might be where your extra weight comes from?).
As for water leaks, well on this thread El Dingo has one by the bonnet release which sounds a bit like my leaky baulkhead, and there is another R owner on the "water in footwell thread" who seems to have the same.
Maybe R owners only get bottled water leaks, as you get your servants to sprinkle bottled water on the car when it rains to avoid the common rain water.

Engine sensor? What was this sensor? Was it the cam timing?

I own a Cupra R sine February and I have some of the minor problems related here.
But I have some doubts : what is the coil pack and how do you notice and how do you notice the Rear bumper problem ?
And when I stop I can ear a sound from the engine ( right side ) that sounds like something knocking ( valves ? ) ... Do you know what can this be ?
knocking noise is carbon cannister filter common on all and, absolutly nothing to worry about, some days worse than others, mines the same mateDaniCupraR said:Hello !
