id say its probably more like a 30/35bhp gain and it also allows for the continuation of other mods such as hybrid turbo or whatever route people may wish to explore... thats my thinking on the matter anyway.

Seeing as alot of cars are running close to 200bhp as standard with the DPF and without a remap, £1300 for a 20 to 25bhp gain seems alot of money to me.....
you will get a bit more brake using shell v power etc but only 4/6 bhp as tested on 5 gear certainly no where near 200 as standed.

Really?

so far custom-code have a VW passat with a DPF delete at 227bhp. this is up from standard 175bhp. It's a fair increase tbh. the DPF removal on it's own yielded almost 15bhp.
plus your looking at 10-15% better economy from the vastly reduced back pressure from removing the DPF and map.
spot on with the figures chan some people on here expect miricals:help::help:

From reading several threads on different forums and SCN forums here are what i would say are the gains:
DPF on with remap: 20-30 bhp on top of standard output
DPF off with remap: 40-50 bhp " " " "
The maximum output for a DPF off car is limited by the exhaust gas temperatures. Therefore i would put a maximum output for a DPF off car at between 240-250bhp. this would require a more aggressive map.
When the ECU issues are overcome then the DPF-off option will be worthwhile for those who do a lot of short journeys, want more power but don't want the DPF biting them off the ass and those who may have further upgrade options in line(hybrid turbos).
I'm still interested, but will probably uprate the clutch as a precaution prior to getting the DPF removed.

For further information, Supersprint also have a DPF delete pipe with sensor plugs in there catalogue.

DPF-OFF software now released please look in the Custom Code Section for more details!

Whoo

whos going to be the site test pilot. i was for the Blufin and look where that got me lol a broken ECU!

I am going to be the test piolet on this one :)
Getting the DE-DPF by Custom-Code on the 26th this month.
As soon as i have the car back in my hands i will update with a report.

hey, scott at torque technics in N.I. has his fr sitting at 233bhp after changing to a milltek dpf and re-mapping it. it would be worth looking him up if you havent go it sorted yet

He's based just outside Magheralin but can travel to accomodate i think. Not sure about his surname but the company is called Pure Torque and you can reach him on 07708959159

yes same boy, im still unsure about whether or not the software he offers will completely remove every possible chance of the car dieing as a result of removing the DPF but the car somehow still thinks its there and it all ending very badly...

Hi guys,

Im getting the DPF removal and remap done at ECU-Flash this weekend on my 2008 Seat Altea XL PD170 as im sick of the the dpf light and for the second time the management light has come on.

They provide a lifetime warranty and are apparantely the longest established dpf removal company?

Should be done Saturday morning. Will let you guys know how it goes guys.
