Sock mod complete - all of three minutes there.... But noticed my ECU was loose, so pushed that back into the already broken clip. So I'll have to do something better.

Will do a quick nut & bolt check on Monday prior to Thursday's trip to Germany

It'll be interesting to compare a laden Leon at 140 which is what we had last year, which was more comfy than the caged clio the previous year that'll be sure.

I might not take the Autobahn route, there's better routes to get to the destination

 What the chuff is the "sock mod" then?

The 'sock' covers the regular filter. I'll keep it & check its cleanliness after next weekend, but it seemed a little freeier to rev on a quick test

I see you're waiting to decide on exhausts mate. Is it super sprint that REVO are offering a deal on now? Would need to double check tbh. As for Milltek, as you know from my thread I have only one issue with it and that is the damn bracket in the front of the DP where the cables are held for whatever which is catching on the rad fan. In all honesty though the noise is not obtrusive at all when driving normally and has a nice throaty rumble to it and yes when you open her up she does make a noise but not that stupic noise the guys with there bean cans on their cars get. You will be at inters any way right? I would be more than happy to show you what it is like.

I'm sort of waiting to see where the land lies... I couldn't tell you the last time I actually had enough room to use full throttle for more than a few seconds in it's daily routine up & down the A3M.

The OE exhaust is badly rusting in just sixi months & just over 3000 miles, which is far from ideal.

I'll probably be at Inters, I just need to sort a few other bits first (at home) before I can spare a weekend playing!

Noise wise, I'm OK with a nice exhaust sound - not the chavvy crap that I've seen on some video's (I've the mazda for that!) but a burble, without the electronic buzzbox would suit me fine.

Ibiza is pretty capable on the ring, TCS flashing out of tighter turns but ultimately this is a fast little car now. Back end shifts about OK on throttle input, loading it up nicely. Turn in is nowhere near 'Clio' good, and understeers a little too much (camber would help here I think)

Nicely level pegged over a lap with a tweeked Breadvan Type R - that was better in the twisties, but the Ibiza was quicker on faster corners & straights

Standard brakes are fine. No fade, plenty of stopping power. Same shite feel as normal.

I couldn't find my GPS logger in my bag earlier, so relied in 'iMapMyRun' and with a slowing for around 30 seconds for an incident I was comfortably sub 9.30. Nippy wagons. Didn't time my second run out but hopefully I'll have the logger out tomorrow for my own interest. I'm not chasing times, more interested in the speeds at certain points etc changing (as 1st lap I lifted a lot more)

Sounds good mate. Sub 10 minutes round the ring is VERY impressive to say the least in all honesty. Are you doing a vid too?

Didn't bring any camera's at all! It was a little bit of a last minute packing to be honest.

I'm not chasing a time, clearly some people are, or were trying to act the tit which is why I called time & went for dinner!

I agree with you on that one. It would be better to just enjoy the experience after all. It is when ppl start chasing time that they park there cars in the railings or worse.

Couple of pics... nothing interesting!

Range is pretty good on the Ibiza... This included a 140mph sprint in the 117miles completed this morning & still >330miles remaining.
