maf reading

just wondering if anyone could tell me what maf g/s should be at idle
i have just checked mine and it reads 2.9g/s and thought it might be a bit low

That's in the acceptable range 2.0-4.5 g/s

You really need to log the block with a proper power run under full load to tell if you are getting good readings.

ill try that over the weekend just on the learning curve with vag com
but keep getting fault code p0411 and cant seem to find any hose leaks so im just trying o rule out other things

Have you thoroughly checked the vacuum hose going to the secondary air pump?

yes checked that couldnt find anything clear the code and it runs fine for about a week then seems to have a loss of power through low revs and stutters through low gear changes

done a search on here, some places want $300 not sure if i'm looking for the right thing?? How much did you pay for yours??

just found a pipe tucked down the side of the engine apparently it should fit onto the air box would this make any difference as when i bought the car it only had the aftermarket filter so have nothing to plug it into

That's the secondary air pump intake. It should have a small filter on the end if it's not being used in the airbox.

yes it has a small filter on but thought that might be whats throwing up the fault and causing the problems
