It's ok, I know it was filthy. :(

Tell you what Steve, next time I have to drive all the way to a RR Day, you can come an hour early to wherever we are and wash my car, since you seem to be so good at it.

 nice try:cartman: i spend to much time cleaning mine to d anyone elses:blink:

Meh. At least I tried. :p

My new filter was supposed to arrive tomorrow but stupid UPS has rescheduled the delivery for next Monday. I am getting furious at friggin' frackin' couriers now! First my wheels and now this! [:@] :censored:

No-one seems to be having any luck with couriers lately !

Any news on your new wheels, are they nearly here yet ?!! :bounce:

I'm still waiting, I'm really hoping everything will be sorted out and that I'll have them in maybe another ten days or so.

Tell me about being :bounce: about it! I just can't wait any longer!

I got my brand new Seat Sport strut brace today!

I was tired of the old Omp one that didn't allow me to leave the engine cover on, so I found one on eBay and got it right away! :D

Saturday is going to be a big day for the car if the filter is delivered tomorrow as I hope. [B)]

I'm going to have to sell my old strut brace.

And my new polyester filter arrived this morning!

It's produced by the Italian brand Sprintfilter, they've been making car and bike filters since 1952. Its performance is better than cotton filters and the maintenance is much simpler because it doesn't require any oiling. :D

Here it is:

Now as soon as I find a way to get rid of the friggin' frackin' strut brace (see Ibiza Mk4 sub-Forum [:@] ), I'll fit it.

Join the queue there's me and EmDee420 trying to sell strut braces ! Do what my mum has threatened and turn it into a towel rail. Not heard of the company you have got your filter from but, sounds interesting - are they washable like the green filters are ?

They are really good. I know people who swear by their filters. [B)]

The highlights are: it doesn't release small particles into the airflow, like the cotton ones do especially after a few thousand miles, it is washable in common dish soap, then you just leave it to dry and fit it back on, no oiling required. And the performance is way better than cotton. Ridiculously better in fact.

Sprintfilter has trademarked and copyrighted it so it's difficult to find it anywhere else but in Italy.

I know of maybe a German company that has tried to make a polyester filter themselves, but I don't know what kind of quality we're talking about.

And definitely yes, if I can't sell that damned strut brace, I'll mount it as a towel rail. Let's set a new trend in interior decoration, shall we? :roflmao:

Advertise your strutt braces on her, someone will buy them.

Your car was looking good last Saturday at the London meet MargheD

Thanks for the advice! :)

And thanks for the compliment D.K, but you're too kind. My car looks like a geographical map by now. Today alone, being in the parking lot of B&Q, I got not one but three more scratches.

I'll really have to look into buying a new rear bumper. :(

Yeah, it's not my fault you peeps drive on the wrong side of the road. :p

Just kidding! :roflmao:

Thank you. :)
The brakes are Brembo Max, and thus far I am very happy with them. Coupled with the EBC RedStuff they're doing a very good job.

I got the old strut brace out, got the new strut brace in, changed the filter and shook it all about. :D

I know my engine's filthy, next time I'll clean it. :p
I'll also buy me a new engine cover.
