Thanks a lot mate! I was thinking about this kind of hole saw but I feared it wouldnt take cutting metal very well. Good to know it does :)

Also I was thinking about 1 hole vs 2 holes as you suggested and I guess it will just come down to how much place is there around. My beeza is LHD so I wont be able to run the cables exactly where you have cuz it would be very close to my gas pedal. I'll have to run them through the bulkhead in the middle directly under where the additional gauges are. Kinda hoping it wont be a problem

Having them going out more central will be a better idea i think

Looking to change mine more central soon as my gears are quite annoying at times, think its the way the cables are routed on mine, kinda forced into positions where they run into the passenger footwell, not ideal

That's pretty good to know too, thanks! Although I have to admit it got me a little scared now to do this upgrade at the same time with doing that "DIY short-shifter" which I'm sure you have seen around on these forums. Might be a better idea to go step by step checking out how the gears work first and then moving on to making the short shifter. Wouldnt really like to end up with having the gear shifter raised and supposingly shorter throws but unable to select gears. I wanted to do these upgrades at the same time while I'm building a new engine and the car is pulled apart

Randomly when refitting the rear wheels, all bolts went all the way in fine by hand but then when it came to tightening 2 of the bolts kept turning and knackered the threads on on one of the hubs :(

Have no idea how it happened as the bolts went in fine, definately didnt cross thread, but new rear hub and wheel bolts hopefully tomorrow

Also rerouted the gear cables in a new hole, much better :D
