I decided to cancel the order even though it was BW2. Searching now for a replacement. 16weeks for the build process to arrive at dealer.
Thanks for the contact.
No worries mate, I just come across him by chance through CarWow I think it was and he sorted me right out.

Just seen my first Nevada white MY19 CUPRA on the road today.

The guy pulled over and we had chat.
Was suprised at how different it looked in the flesh.

Mine still hasn't been through PDI and still has the white protection tape on. It makes a difference.

Definitely had road presence and this was a standard car without the skirts, splitters or panroof.

Sounded very decent too.

Strangely enough the owner nearly bought the 300 that I ordered in October 2017 and rejected in Feb 2018.

Suffice to say he much preferred the 290.

this is very disappointing news on the GOLF R forum i too would like to know if this effects the new cupra's

basically the post WLTP cars loose the dual injection which (as per the US market) net result is less tunability and carbon build up
It’s not an end of the world difference going off of the ABT module you can buy. On the Cupra Ateca (300) it gives 350 HP vs pre WLTP Cupra 300 4Drive and FWD gave 370.

Cheers for the share.
Surprisingly that's the first drive by video I've seen of the MY19.

I'm satisfied with it considering the changes they've made to the exhaust.

Would be nice to have control over the DSG fart though.

Yeah, same here, it's the main reason I decided to make it.

I'm also very satisfied with the exhaust, and I've heard it gets louder after you get some miles on it.

As for controlling the farts, I'll continue to experiment with that, maybe I can figure out a way...

Were you using the paddles?

Where were you at in the rev range?

You actually managed reproduce the "fart" on the last few drive-bys.

I think it's more that they sound different to the previous versions of car, no longer a high pitch crack on upshift. Obviously I can't tell how obvious it is from inside cabin.

Hopefully picking mine up in the next 2 weeks. It's going to feel a lot better now coming from an xcellence

Hi all that have the new Cupra, is it as good as you was all expecting. I’m asking as being messed around on delivery dates, thinking do I cancel and go for a BMW140 or hold out.

I was in manual mode trying to get as many overrun pops as I could.

From inside the cabin you can hear (and even feel) the overrun pops, but I only heard the fart after watching the video I made. Though I have heard a few from the cabin, so maybe I wasn't paying attention.
By the sound of it I was at about 4-5k rpm.

It's better than I expected it to be, and I test drove the 300. Then again, the 140i is probably amazing as well...

It finally cleared up a bit today, so I was able to get some nice shots. Enjoy!

Great video sir and a lovely vehicle mine is the same minus the black bits. Mine is almost on 1000 miles and the exhaust is noticeably a bit deeper than it was new, I'm tempted to turn the sound actor off again to just hear what's going on outside lol.

You get the odd random surprise if you have pushed the car and the exhaust is HOT, twice I've had a crackle from the exhaust that felt as if it was underneath the seat haha.

Cheers for reply, two mates have 300s and love them I was impressed around Nurburgring in them. Maybe I should hold out.
