Hi bud,

My mate is selling a set of the rims you have just put on you car see the link!

Just wondering if you had to change anything to get these wheels on, eg new wheel bolts or spacers or anything????

Cheers

ay up mate no not needed anything like wheel bolts or spacers need lower profile tyres and do ajust the ride hight as its to low for 17s so you should be fine with a straight swop unless its really low mate

They will bolt on fine, as I have some on my car.... BUT the tyres will be the wrong size. You will need 205/40/17 for them to fit properly and to get the rolling radius as close to original as possible!

Basically... if they have come of a Leon, they will have 45 profile tyres on. The Ibiza would need 40 profile tyres to stop any rubbing, scrubbing and not to put the speedo out. You could buy them and try to flog the tyres on...

ok lol

Well at the min its got 225/45/17 so would these not fit???

nicely confusing :D

bt if you want extra protection and to be able to mount kerbs without damaging the alloy go for 215/40 17 tyres...no problems

Thanks for the advice people but with all the costs dont think i will be doing this now, going to stick with the standard 16inch. Maybe something for the future when i got a better paid job!

Cheers

just for reference, my T1R's cost me £72 per corner all-in...bt can get em on camskill at £63 a corner iirc

bt you can find cheaper (i.e. Flakens), just don't know if they make 215/40

camskill are not fitted for you though (just in case people don't realise that is sometimes why they are cheaper)

Can anyone tell me if fitting 215 40 on two wheels and 205 40 is okay? I have 205 and they are causing problems/getting damaged so easily when my F1s wear out I wonder if I can have 215 on the rear?

yh think ive seen the pug never seen urs tho. i might hava nip down to the next meet. do you kno gaz used to drive that noisy metro?lol
