naah lol I used a jack, but I keep a wheel under there incase the car falls - never know like lol. So I'd much prefer it to land on my wheel than on tarmack and bugger up my brakes, smash the driveshafts and make a lot of damage...and noise! :)

96 gti bumpers are not to disimalar to yours if im not mistaken yours is the earlier version of the pre facelift with the bumpers having an inset all the way around (nicer in my opinion) but the gti ones are colour coded and they have a rubber trim round the bumpers

Yeah there was, correct me if I'm wrong but I think in 96 they made the facelift, and the bumpers fit onto our pre's pretty easily, then they changed the facelifts again in 97, which require abit more work to get on.... I think it was something like that..... Search for it because I remember reading a few threads with all the details on it and how to fit them...

yeah remember Brummy on this mentioning something... I'm sure there are 2 phases you know. Little tweaks to make the buyers think they were buying something different lol noot!. But yeah the phase 1 ones aren't as nice... so I'll make it harder for myself by getting 97 ones instead. :p

thanks Jenk! :) Can't really see it properly there, does it share the same foglight grill? Can you take another pic maybe a little closer? By the way - my arches weren't that bad at all you know, very clean considering! ;)

My Old 'Red-Shed' .. about a week after I got it with alloys fitted instead of the crappy steels it came with.
