Jamie, why do you keep reposting post #143?
Everyone has seen your question.
I dont, my laptop at work is knackered and keeps timing out, refreshing and posting the same stuff, apologies, it's not my fault

one other thing that i carnt get my head around with emtying the tip, intercooler ect.... if its coolant why it isnt bright pink....? its clear and stinks of petrol...? why petrol?
Also everytime I post in this thread I get this- 'Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /var/www/web1/web/forums/includes/functions_autotagger.php on line 272' which might explain Jamies repeat posts.
Forgiven.I dont, my laptop at work is knackered and keeps timing out, refreshing and posting the same stuff, apologies, it's not my fault![]()
well everything has been stripped down today, theres oil in the manifold and turbo so thats why i think it was smoking...maybe...might not be though, going to ring CR Turbo's monday have them check me turbo out, carshould be going in the garage either tuesday/wednesday... hope all isnt bad....not the best of time this happening after ive been made redundant...![]()
where do you stand in regards to CR Turbo's if it is the turbo?
do they pay to repair just the turbo and any parts it has effected around it i.e. leakages etc....or just the turbo?
Dont know yet, going ring them monday say whats happened and for them to look at the turbo, and say what this might have done to my engine, see what they say from there
That last sentance of their warranty just about voids the waranty for all hybrid applications then. i mean how many people would install a hybrid on the standard map.
When they modify a turbo they should state the maximum working pressure they will guarantee it to, so you could then remap to that pressure and keep your waranty.
Well, ive had the phone call from CR Turbos just and......nothing is wrong with the turbo...
told them the symptoms of what happened with my car ect... he said its very rare that that they see these turbo's fail.
Any one got any ideas what it might be then?
Is there any breather pipes that may be causing this ?
Im stuck now, hope its going in the garage tomorrow..
Yes I did read exactly what you said and it comes across as saying that from the symptoms its mechanical and the turbo could not be to blame (unless otherwise proven). Thats pretty bias one way if you ask me when everything in the thread points to the turbo more than likely being at fault for the coolant getting into the tip and intercooler.
