New Leon TDi Sport Manual and DSG 0-60 times?

I have the DSG version and have timed 2 runs in sport mode- one was 8.5 secs and the one just a minute ago was only 7.5, although this one was slightly down hill.

Just wondered if anyone else had tried timing it?

The stats say about 9.5-10 secs is expected so it's seems a fair bit quicker than that!

I understand the 0-60 timea are with passengers and maybe luggage/fuel.

plus ive heard that sometimes manufacturers quote slower times for lower insurance grouping etc

Btw...

DSG revs up to 4300rpm on D and S. It does not matter if it's on "S" if you press pedal all way down. On "manual mode" it revs up to 4500rpm before changing up.

I have not tested yet 0-60 (or actually 100kmh) times but tested 60kmh-160kmh on motorway with video recording on my Ixus

how did you time it?

with a stop watch, get some proper timing equipment to time it, also your speedo will more than likely be out so 60mph on the clocks will only be around 56/7mph...
