Im not too sure mate tbh. At least you are 95% there which is the good thing!

No-one with a multimeter friend/family? You need to see if power is actually getting to the gauge!

Check it at the end where you are stealing power from and make sure there is a supply, and then check it again at the gauge to make sure its receiving the same supply! If it is then you have a dodgy gauge, if its not then the wiring is at fault.

If you cant get hold of 1, they sell them for £20ish in argos. I know its more expense but they are useful now and again

Been out to the car and took the scothclok connectors off and replaced them with the white block connectors and guess what............. we now have power houston! success at last!!! bright enough to see but will struggle on a sunny day, the gauge has a slight buzz to it.

Overall happy with the results, as I have said before the coathanger has been the handy tool in this job, did not have to take the bottom of the dash off.

Ben & juan to do theirs next?

Just to add on this, the velcro you get with the A pillar is absolutely crap. Went down to the car to find the A pillar hanging off like it had been on the pi$$.

Does not seem to stick properly to the plastic, surely nomad could of done a better design then this i.e. moulded/fixed some connectors into the A pillar so it could be pushed in like the OE one, moan over.

I will have to find a solution to this, still liking the boost gauge though.

Yes its good isnt it:D

Looks wicked at night[B)]

As to nomad pillar, yes they are rubbish, but there arent any more options so we are stuck with them.

Ive used the standard velcro on mine however and its never fallen off! Did you degrease the metal work before you attached it to the A frame? Bit of alcohol/vodka or something should do the trick to degrease it

Or is it coming away from the actual pod as opposed to the pillar?

lol vodka, it would not even touch the metal.... i'd drink it fella.

it comes away from the plastic pod, velcro stuck to the metal A pillar no probs.

I was looking at the standard A pillar plastic, if somehow I could carefully cut the fixing blocks out (only thin plastic) and aradite them onto the new pillar. sounds good in theory but wether it works is another thing?

Yes it does work mate, some people have already done it.

I would if mine kept falling off, but luckily mine is fine:)

decided to take the old OE fixings off the old A pillar plastic and attached them to the new nomad A pillar pod (I dont know why nomad cant draft this into the design)

Leaving it to dry overnight and before anybody says it, yes the fixings are cacked in aradite, hopefully they wont fall off when I put it on tomorrow. Could only get x3 fixers on because of the gauge pod location but im sure this will be fine.

What do you mean?

Plumb the gauge or plumb the temperature sender?

You plumb the gauge in just like you would with the boost gauge, for power/illumination!
Instead of running tubing through the bulkhead for the boost, you run an electric wire to the temperature sender which is screwed into the oil filter housing!

You do, you need to take out the blanking plug from the oil filter housing and screw in the temperature sender! You then run a wire from this sender into the back of your gauge:)

Could anyone point me in the right direction to find where the blanking plug from the oil filter housing is found? I've searched about 6/7 threads but haven't found a definative answer....

Thank you kindly.

Number 10:)

Can be a right pain in the arse to get out, beware you dont round the hole off like i did. After about half an hour of torn knuckles i finally managed to undo it with a pair of mole grips in the end
