tried an old set i had lying around..cracked every lense trying to split them..wouldnt wanna try again

Hmm might get one light from a scrappy and try separating it by running as soldering iron round the edge

Heard of people putting them in the oven! To heat the glue up to make it softer to cut away with a blade or something, May be worth a shot if you can find one for a fiver or something.

Yeah when I've done headlights in the past I've put them in the oven, but headlights tend to be made to take more heat, might end up melting the lenses

Yeah that's a good point, could possibly try with a hair drier to try and localise the heat onto the glued part.

Guess this is why it hasnt been done, or not widely done anyways. it's just a massive pain.
