hey people,

Just need to ask for advise from you all, as someone out there will know the answer or can help.
Well my engine management light has came on took it to the garage so they can put it on the computer just to see what it is and it's saying coolant sensor fault, the guy said it would be the one on top of the thermostat housing (located right side of engine) look easy to change, however he didn't fill me with converdace.
So fort i would do abit of fault finding myself just to make shore, so took to plug off the sensor on the thermostat and the gauge stops working (worked before sits at 90degrees).

Now i have been told there are afew coolant sensors on the engine not shore!!
Anyone know how meny and where they all are located?
And anything else i could try just so i am not messing about to much?

I am thinking about just changing the sensor on the thermostat and the sender on the bottom of the radiator.

Cheers people.

A remap is probabley one of the best mods you can do.
You might notice a small gain in MPG, once the novalty of the extra power wears off ;)

The car can handle the extra power with the standerd setup but an uprated Dogbone engine mount will help and uprated ARB's are ment to be very good too.

Map it you know you want to ;)

I very roughly worked out a 10% increase in economy doing motorway miles. It dropped significantly everywhere else because I started accelerating harder!

It's definately worth it for a very usable 20% power increase. My car has settled down to an average of just over 27mpg (avg. over the last 4 months), which I think is pretty respectable the way I drive it.

As DK said though, it's worth getting the DBM changed at the same time and I'm sure your tuner will recommend an uprated air filter too.

They are all different mate, what works on mine might not work foryour's, Not that I know what mine is set to, As long as it's not cliking then it should be Ok. If you do get it maped the Split-R will need adjusting again which your mapper should be able to do.

An uprated Panel filter will be fine, I'm still useing one with a modded airbox

I have a fully recirculating valve (007P) so can't comment on the Split-R. Yeah the panel filters are fine unless you want a lot of induction noise (little difference in power gains between them, if any). Main brands are K&N, Green, Jetex and Pipercross, with the latter being foam rather than cotton.
