well the car went in today and turns out there was a kink in the pipe so they replaced it. How they didnt see this last week i dont know probably just them trying to get more cash out of seat for warranty work. One problem no is that my boot wont open when i double click the remote to unlock i can hear all the locks unlocking but when i pull on th seat badge to open the boot nothing happens

Have you resprayed my car, same faults :D

Had this problem as well  Book it back in as its normally the mech which fails and they simply replace it. :D

Dont we love the mk4 :D

Got any rear suspension creaking in the cold weather yet

rear washer

hi, i re-connected my front one the other day, having removed the airbox..

i've cable tied the one in the boot (1 tie round the hose and another going through the 1st one and under the join) in theory holding the 2 halves together..

and i've used wire to hold the one on the motor on, i partially unwound 2 of the torx screws that hold the wiper motor casing together, and using them as anchor points i've tied wire round the hose.. hopefully preventing the hose blowing off again..

i'll put images up of what i've done if it helps anyone..

Pics would be great. Thanks

Ive also got the same problem with the rear washer. Ive just had the boot liner off here I repaired it the last time, it seems as that one is now secure its just popped off somewhere else. Those clips on the boot liner are a pain the in ar£e always break. Dont know why they didnt use rubber lugs or something.

Going to try the under filter one next, failing that, where is the 3rd point? #update# tried to remove the base of the airbox, can see one bolt that I removed but it appears to be held at 2 other points that are not bolts?

Hi, before you take the airbox out, push the washer stalk forward, and then look underneath the car, if the front ones popped off water should be gushing from around the n/s chassis leg..

if not your bootfloor's getting a soaking (that's the connection behind the seatbelt mounting)..

2 mins and you'll have it connected again..

i'll put pics up on tuesday of how i've sorted mine (once i've removed the trim panels for the umpteenth time)..

My rear washer has finally given up the ghost too......the sparewheel compartment being full of water sold me a dummy and led me to remove the tailgate trim only to find that the pipe was connected :censored:

For others that need to remove the tailgate, once removing the 5 torx screws you need to pull the tailgate like your trying to break it, no sudden jerking but plenty of force!

Next stage is to remove the airbox as I am getting water dripping from below that - it was getting dark when I got to that stage so that is now pending......from previous posts it looks quite easy but if anyone has a picture of the airbox removed and pipe reconnected that would be useful!

No doubt once i've fixed the front connection the one above the rear wheel will need connecting......:headhurt:

My rear washer isn't working either. No sign of water in the spare wheel hole or from the drivers' side wheel arch. From what I can make out, there are several places to check, the ones I've mentioned, by the airbox, the rear quarter panel inside and the boot panel?

If its the pipe you should be getting water coming out some where. Squirt it and have a good look around. Passenger side under foot well is common.

Mine has just come back from service. It was working when I gave it to them! Anyhoo, £30 (extra) later and its working the same as it was before!

mine hasnt been workin for a few weeks now, managed to ave a look at it 2day under bonnet and found it had popped off reconnected but its still not workin, im thought it was blocked but after readin all the posts i'm gona b checkin boot and footwell, hope its a simole fix or i will b gettin rd of the thing to do me driving instructor training, cnt b doin with silly probs like this all the time

Had to repair mines this week. Had popped apart above the rear arch (drivers side). 15 minute fix, saved the hassle of putting it in for warranty work!

i had the same problem last week after the big freeze, dealer said that the cause was the wrong mix of screen wash, pipe popped in two places, engine bay and in the tailgate.the dealer said that their are ten connections on this one pipe.

i got my ibiza 3 weeks ago, and the rear washer popped off last week and left a nice puddle in my boot, so off came to boot trim, and to hopefully stop this happening again i put glue around the joint to make it a bit stronger, so hopefully i shouldn't have to take the boot apart again as it's a bit of a pain to take it off.
