Looks awesome mate! Really does. I have a set of old porsche seats lying in the garage....wonder if they'd fit???

cheers pal.... as commented on yours looks good to....

few bits done today, fitted my black rearview mirror, cleaned and conditioned the new seats, sprayed my parcel shelf thing with black fabric spray, and painted my c posts black to match... hope to get my roof lining flocked black and fit black A and B post covers over the next couple of weeks

cheers

edit... things you need to look out for with the seats is they have a real funny mechanism, to sliding wheels either side and bolted up front, not on runners or anything like that, so they can be a bit difficult to fit different running seats, but not unheard of i dont think

boot build boxing and first clay and polish of the year

Not many mods recently, loss of job and lack of funds explains...

little things that have been done:
black rear view mirror
Boot build boxing out started
side skirts repainted
2x jacking covers replaced
fully clayed, polished, waxed and sealed

first thing black mirror, small cosmetic change

Image269.jpg

side skirts re-painted, when the car was on the ramp, the skirts got caught and pushed up slightly, them a mate opened the door and scraped a fair amount of paint off[:@], always had two jacking covers missing from the passenger side, got these from main dealer for about £13 the pair, then decided that id spend a day getting the side skirts off and back upto scratch... very very happy with the result, under light the last paint job on the skirts appeaerd patchy... so applied more layers of paint and more laquer... as said am very happy with the final results

boot build boxing out started, decided i wanted a subtle boot build aswel as tidying up the boot, thought of a funky little way to still gain access to the spare wheel which will become apparent soon enough once all the boxing out is finished, after doing alot of serching on this forum and reading various posts by Icecaven i now have a resonable idea of what set up i will be going for, although i dont think the ice and headunit will be coming until i get myself another job.

since the car was power polished by a mates dad the exterior hasnt really had much attention,,, with no money the car got put on hold so to speak, but with a slice of nice weather finally here i decided the best thing to do would be to have a good clean. as much as i hate to say it it had become extremely mucky and neglected..

first spent about 2 hours just washing the car, repeatedly going over the same areas to remove any stuck on grime. then a final rinse and inspection, then chamoied off, then took off each wheel individually and cleaned them so they were spotless, spent about 20 minutes on each wheel.

Then out came the clay bar, this was last done when i first got the car, about 5 months ago, the results from this session were quite surprising, made a big difference on the roof which felt like sandpaper and a moderate difference to all other panels. Next i fully waxed the car, then purchased a sealent this week, (first time used) not sure if it made to much of difference but seamed to shine a bit more.

After this i feel truely back in love with the car and have gone totally off the idea of a full respray.

future things im planning will be
new back lights
getting prices on side strips colour coded atm
boot finishing
new back reg plate
new led side light bulbs to match HIDs
anything else that pops up

thanks for reading

Very clean mate, well done :)
What are your plans with the back lights - are you going back to standard looking ones rather than the smoked?

I always liked Top Sport bumper more, the cupra R looks kinda to aggressive for my taste... anyway, the front bumper is the only thing missing and the interior looks georgeus. Very nicely done ;)

wheels look good mate but were the pics taken before or after you'd sprayed them?
the pic of the wheels off the car look loads darker than when they're on the car?
still good though :D

cheers mate... i think the colour is ford dark graphite grey... purchased from halfords... 1st sanded down the wheel using 1200 and 1800 grit... also sanded any kirb marks.... gave a couple of cotes of primer, allowed to dry, 2000 Grit sand down.... did the inside of the wheel just plain gloss black... then did the outside of the wheel in the the grey.... gave about 3 coats and then laquered after about 15 minutes of the final coat,, a couple of coats of laquer and you done... id say the most boring part was gettin the wheels clean, because of my multi-spoke wheels it took about 40 minutes to get each one clean...

cheers
