We normally do Oulton Park and sometimes Donington to watch BTCC, Brands is a bit far from us but been a couple of times.
However, if this is a super touring meet and there’s a chance of my lad seeing an ex Plato or Menu Renault Laguna in action it may be too good to miss.
How many 14 year olds have a Renault Laguna obsession? Can’t be many! He wants a real one.

I used to love the BTCC. I don't watch it these days as i don't watch TV anymore, but that sounds like a cool event! That was a great era for BTCC back then, be epic if do get to take the Leon along.

I had a RL Diesel once, not for long as it was a quick fill when my Passat head gasket went, but it was nicknamed 'The Tank'. It weighed a tonne & literally felt like an armoured vehicle driving around ?

He’s also got every scalextric version and he’s just built a Tamiya RC car but found a Laguna shell for it that he’s waiting for me to paint for him.
Looks like we’ll be heading to brands then.

I not got any tamiya rc cars. But I collect ones called predators from a company called tenth technology, ttech or team extreme, same car but just as it evolved over the years.
He's in Maidstone though, so a bit far for me if I need something urgently. I've seen him on Ebay though

I had an X74 Laguna estate, so the next generation. I loved how it looked and given I was driving 35,000 miles a year, it was so comfortable. Did loads of camping and trips up to Scotland in it and it ate it up. The electrics were absolutely shocking though and I was so lucky it was still in warranty because I got shot the second that ended. Tyre pressure sensor deciding I'd had a blow out at speed in lane 4 of the M25 was one of the highlights. The hard shoulder of the M25 at rush hour is one of the scariest places I've ever been. No puncture.

I've got you saved on my Ebay account already. Have done for a few months, I'm debating if it's a good idea to buy a spares car at some point. Leave covered on the drive, just in case I do.need anything in the futureI can post
