Yeah mine usually gets off as soon I pulled the dipstick up so I ended ziptie-ing it to the engine to keep it in place.
I've heard about that happening - it might be the aftermarket ones that do that, as the dipstick doesn't fit as flush in the tube as it did in the old one. If yours works fine with a zip tie, I won't have to worry - had nightmares about it popping off on a long drive and the oil dumping all over the engine bay...
