17's don't catch depending on the width and how much you've lowered the suspension by. i've got 17's with a 7" width on mine and they didn't catch at all standard. i dropped the rear by 120 mil and the front by 70 mil but for both have had to take the arch liners out and with the rear i had to roll the inner lip back
They're 7.5 width, and i havent lowered my car... but it looks quite low... Duno if previous owner has lowered it its an SXE and got standard Seat alloys on there... Also what about the cracked rim isit worth getting repaired..? go on ebay and type that -> 17'' Toora Formula Alloy Wheels 4 Off 4X100 Pcd ET 35
i personally wouldn't touch any cracked, broken rims.you could probs repair them but there will always be a weakness there and i woulnd't trust my cars weakness to be on the one bit of the car that touches the ground and controls so much
i dont really want them that bad because they dont have tyres and because of that crack... and also i reeeeeeeaaaaally want a set of either mk3 cupra or the multi spoke mk2 cupra ronals... but i cant find any...
I've got 17's on mine and its quite civilised compared to what i've had in the past... running 205/40's but its low so does catch on front on full lock but thats it.
Going to try 195/40's next But Sticking with 17's as it looks Ace
