Awesome result Carl :) what spec is your hybrid? I'm now running the relentless hybrid.
hi Sam, its one of the earliest hybrids made but she boosts well.
Relentless hybrid sounds very interesting:) how does it feel and any figures yet. I think we need to get a run on Bill's Dyno to see where we are at..... Crimbo maybe.

Good numbers there, bet it pulls like a train
She does indeed thanks, the manifold made a decent gain but its the wmi which made the biggest difference... so smooth. WMI is off most peoples radar but personally i think its one of my most important upgrades.:)

Good results Willy :)

a few questions though, as always!

The trans losses seem unusually high, 253 at the wheels, and 325 at the flywheel? mine recorded 254 at the wheels yet just 291 at the crank on the conservative map it was on previously, so much, much lower losses. I wonder if that's a true figure or if the losses are just exagerated?

Also, the speed at peak bhp looks very low, around 90mph at about 6k revs, isn't that 3rd gear? or 4th? I thought 1:1 was closer to 5th gear on a 6 speed. Could that explain the higher trans losses shown? or the huge torque as can often happen when dyno'd in a low gear?

Certainly looks like a riot though, holding 21psi at 7000rpm :) Good to see the hybrid route is still working out for some people!

Can't wait to get mine back on the road and mapped again :)

Hi Mate, have a look here as Craig the owner of GOTBOOST explains what some setups can expect off his rollers:-
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=360926&page=3&highlight=gotboost
The wheel losses i can't explain and if i go on wheel horse power alone i've gained zilch from running the wmi and manifold since they are comparable figures since last year at Bill's (pre meth and manifold)but it does seem stronger.

The cars on the day were run in fourth gear but i don't know why that gear is preferred to 5th.
Since having rods fitted i'm confident to up the boost from previous RR's i've done. I'm peaking at around 23 psi and with the addition of wmi i should be pulling more torque than previously. I wouldn't expect to make the same torque figures on Bill's..... 290ft/lb maybe.

I was pleased with the consistancy though which is something that has dogged the car in recent years, i think the wmi contributes to this and also i seldom see over 800 degrees on WOT which is good also.
When your car is sorted we'll can take a trip to GOTBOOST if you like and then a comparison run at Badger5, would be very interesting but torque aside i'm reserving judgement as to label it a happy dyno as i feel it may be more accurate than my figures initially imply. Good old dyno lottery eh.:D

Hi there

In the middle of sorting out the K04 hybrid set up on my LCR (its been a long drawn out process so far!) and had a couple of q's about your WMI.

What system are you running? Also what size nozzle did you go for? And what mix of meth / water do you run?

I have got an AEM system and thinking of going for the middle nozzle out of the 3 sizes they do? And running a 50:50 mix?

Nice figures btw - would be happy if i get the same :D

hi mate, i run a Devils Own voltage referrenced controller which i'm currently using the map sensor to trigger the system. I use a DO3 nozzle which is approximately 250ml / min although i' soon be running the equivalent of a D04.
The AEM middle nozzel is 315ml per min which should be perfect for you. Set the controller as per instructions. Mixture is a personal thing.... I use 30:70 for safety. Take your time to set the system up correctly and enjoy the performance.

Car is running well with the wmi running two nozzles and using the maff sensor as the progressive input to the controller.
I'm running a map update from Bill Badger 5 which has transformed the car. :) It now pulls so hard, thanks mate.
I have a new large port SEM to be fitted which i'm looking forward to revisiting.
The downside of the car Pulling so well is the original clutch is slipping @ 20psi plus so i have to reduce the boost. So its new clutch time and find myself with a few choices. I'm going to stick with dual mass and been advised to replce theflywheel at the same time despite only having 14000 miles on it. I've considered helix but decided to go with the Sachs SRE Kit which is rated past 380Ft/lbs which will be plenty for me.
I struggling to justify fitting a lsd at the same time as its a lot of money but considering i havn't dropped the gear box off the car in the past ten years its a job i only want to do once and economies can be made by fitting the same time as the clutch. stealth racing and TSR performance are good options to do the work. the Ibiza guys on here seem to rate the Peloquin over the Quaiffe but i like to buy British where possible..
My Top mounts have excessive play in them and need replacing but then i think its worth replacing the suspension at the same time as the labour will be the same.....

And then the N/A cams, largeport head, bushes....dam this forum.

So much to do but the costs are gettinng excessive on a 10 year old car, i'm at a crossroads but have no intension of selling.

Hi carl, im glad your car is running well, i know you have put so much hard work and effort into it.
These cars are getting on a bit now so you do find yourself replacing mounts and bushes ect. But onces sorted you probably wont have to worry about it again.
Clutch options will most probably be my next big purchace.

Btw i managed to get hold of some agn (na) cams for £60 last night :)
I think the price is fair but i get the feeling there value will go up big time. Find a set sooner rather than later.

Last Friday i Had the following installed at TSR Performance. She feels like a different animal now.:)

Quaife LSD
Sachs performance clutch
Bilstein B12 shocks and springs with new top mounts.
Superpro wishbone bushes
Neuspeed 25mm front arb
Neuspeed 28mm rear arb
Falken 453 front tyres.

The weather is poor at the moment but hoping to stretch her legs a bit more when it improves.

i need to get the tune in excess of 350 bhp and it feel like i'm enroute..... 265g/sec at the moment in a scaled stock maff tube.

Thanks mate,
He is a border collie called Rolo. He is a great lad but very nervous with a tendancy to bite. I've had collies all my life but this fella is a full time job keeping him honest but i do love him though.;)

That's a very similar set up to what I've got planned, I'm glad it all works well together. Did you go for the 15/20 or 40/20 kit? I'm thinking of going B14 but I'm still undecided where to fit coilovers or not.

its a 15/20 kit. i have no intention of tracking it. If i was i'd go hardcore coillies like clubsport.
