Followed this guide to bypass the n249 and im finding im getting what sounds like wastegate chatter/fluttering. Sounds good but not sure if this is a good or bad thing on a standard k04 turbo. Not sure it is down to the other mods ive done. Heres a list of what ive done:

Forge de-baffled charge pipe
Forge P007
Silicone boost pipes
Neuspeed air filter

If you're getting that chatter/flutter on dump then it's a bad thing, undo the bypass and see if it goes away.

Are you certain that you can trace a path from the dump valve Vacuum nipple (top small connector) back to the manifold without any open ended vac hoses? Sounds to me as if you've missed a connection and your DV has no vacuum feed to the top port.

Plug in a stop and secure with a jubilee clip or screw in a decent fitting screw

Thanks that's what I thought

But when I searched other sites on this by pass mod most people lefted it open which would surely cause engine problems as it would be like having a air leak?

Am I right in thinking we don't even need any extra piping we can just disconnect the 2 pipes into the N249 and then literally connect them to each other?

Maybe but I bought the piping and connector for only £4.25 delivered off ebay.

Gonna do it this weekend.

I'm doing this tomorrow by just joining the existing two hoses. If my engine likes it I'll buy a replacement hose. Also fitting my boost gauge can't wait!

Just did this tonight it took 10 mins and now seems to dump the pressure in half the time with a nice crisp sound. Why didn't I do it before now?
It's not as cheap a mods as you'd think though. It cost me a fair bit in petorol making sure it worked.

Ok so I've been doing some reading and most of the removel guide at for cupras but I get the gist. This ones interesting http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=42406&highlight=N249+removal
Has the LCR got the SAI?
Also the guilds recommend the use of ressistors. However I've read that ressistors can cause ECU damage and to leave the solenoids in place but tucked out of the way. Has anyone done the deleat and if so got any pics?

Yeah I did it that way originally. It's a bit awkward getting in under the manifold but not impossible. Remove the plastic trim in front first, then the metal plate under the plastic bit, held on to the manifold with a couple of allen bolts, that'll give you a bit more room.
