Looking good mate Happy with it? How you securing the middle section? You do know after this you really need to sort the OEM splitter!!!
The new splitter is almost ready for fitting tomorrow, I gave it another layer of resin yesterday which will be rubbed down tomorrow and the polished, hopefully it'll give a deep enough finish without lacquering.
I also got a bit more done on the heat shield.
They both need rubbing down again, one is ready for it's final coat of clear resin the other is on it's first coat.
I also decided to have another go a the mirror covers.
Last time they didn't come out too good but I've learnt a lot since I last tried them.
After their first coat of clear resin
If they are dry enough tomorrow I'll rub them down ready for another coat when I do the heat shields.

A true work of art Darren. The splitter looks so at home, and the CF has taken so well to the curves of the mirror covers. Just brilliant

If I get time tomorrow I'll get some better pictures, the batteries on the SLR were flat today so I had to use the iPhone

I've been really busy trying to get everything done in time for Bromley pageant next Sunday and then Prept at Brands the follwing Saturday.

I've also decided to redo the standard LCR splitter.
The one thats on now has cracked where the paint and the carbon join, I think this was due to the fact that I had put 2 different layers of carbon in it and there was too much resin, I also blended the resin into where it would be painted, this time I've only put 1 layer of carbon on and the resin will not go under the paint, I'm not sure when this will get painted yet.
And finally for tonight something for Dan's R32

They look like genuine carbon mirrors, top work mate. Is it hard to do or just require patience??
