The main problem i have which is currently preventing me for completing an MOT is that i am the only person who can start my Ibiza. When turning the key the usual first stages happen but the final turn to start the car fails. The relay clicks as usual but the only way the car will fire is if i...
I have been preparing my car for its MOT and one of the major issues i had was the rear brakes. Looking at the state and wear of the discs it looked like they hadnt been operating correctly for a while. With this information i took all corners aparts and clean, greased and freed up all parts...
As the title..

Car just failed its MOT :( got a bit of a list going on. The only point I'm not so sure about is the excessive free play at the steering wheel, it seems to be from the clamp that connects the steering wheel rack to the steering, it seems to be lose. I need to check with seat they gave me the...
Took our 1.2S to the local village garage for its 5yr old MOT - after last years effort at the dealer where I'm convinced they created a couple of hundred pounds worth of work.
It passed but the garage had initially failed it due to the headlamp aim being too low. They tweaked them up at no...
Hey, my brother has just bought an Arosa and had it MOT tested and it failed because of this fault, I'm wondering if people know how much this should cost to get fixed.
Dip beam adjuster siezed, off centre. It's a bit to the right.
Any quick replies or suggestions would be much...
Just been told my car is going to fail its next MOT because of the HID's/sidelights i put in...:censored:
The HIDs pattern is 'everywhere' I could tell that and the guy said they couldn't even re-align them??

Hi guys,
Wanted to get some feedback on a price I've just been quoted from Seat in Salford, Manchester.
I've got a 1.2 sx Ibiza and it's now 4 years old. I'm looking at getting it booked in for its service and MOT. Seat in Manchester say the 4 year service is a big one, as they have to...
So 'tis the dreaded time of year.:help:

Rear brakes are knackered

Hi,
My LCR passed MOT today so very happy but on the advisory it was not that my front tyres were close to legal limit. I have only had them 7 months and covered around 5000 miles is this normal expectancy for tyres?
I currently have Falken FK452's fitted.
Thanks

Hey!
My 05 reg (27k miles) failed it's mot today due to a snapped OEM exhaust mount (rear section)! Looking at the backbox it has sagged slightly but isn't loose!
How easy is this to fix without buying a brand new section (£270 from seat)?
Is this a common fault?
Retest a week...

Wheel Bearings + Hubs - all replaced
Brakes - all...
