She's a beut mate and a real labour of love!

loving the work james

Cheers Guys

what engine mounts did you go for? i need a new set mine are well on the way out!

I only replaced the front one as the rear and gearbox were fine. Its a VF engineering mount from Intergrated Engineering.
MASSIVE improvement! I used to be about to rock the engine a fair few inches back and forth but now she sits solid as a rock.

Which one did you get how hard is it

Also how hard is it to fit

First of all sorry James for clogging up your thread bud!

However I have competition level ones because I cant have any movement when I fit the big turbo as there is a lot of custom pipework like DP which can break if there is too much movement.

As for fitting the front one is really easy - one 16mm bolt on top and a hex bolt underneath - just remember to use a jack to hold the weight of the engine when you undo the bolts! The gearbox one is a bit of a pain - I found the easiest way was to undo all 3 of the gearbox to dog mount bolts as well as the large bolt on top - and completely remove the 2 which are easier to access, then just pivot the dog mount back wards on the loosened bolt and undo the 2 vertical bolts which hold the actual mount in its housing. Pop new mount in and put the central main bolt in a few threads so that it aligns, swivel the dog mount back and do everything back up.

I'd say front mount took 10-15mins and the gearbox took 30-40. I haven't done the rear engine mount because it looks like a real pain with the turbo and manifold in situ, however not impossible. I will do my rear engine when the turbo is off in September.

Hopefully this is of help to a few people hence writing it here :)

Looks awesome now mate

That tip is huge lol

What have you done with the hard metal water pipe that runs beside the tip?

Coming together :) Yeah I can see why people have such good gains from it.

As for the hard water pipe, it has been cut back and then I am going to run rubber hose up to the heater matrix (hopefully avoiding the turbo on the way)

Fitted a few more bits and bobs today, here's a pic to give a bit more of an idea what the bay will look like..

I have decided to buy a qpeng 2.5" downpipe to run the car in for a few 100 miles before it goes for a full 3" custom downpipe and custom mapping.
I am going to run it with the boost controller wound right down and leave the 225 injectors and fit my 550's when it goes for mapping.

Bled the brakes and clutch to check for any obvious leaks from the new lines and all looks ok.
The clutch is light as a feather too which I was not expecting! Its no heavier than my old vr6 clutch
