Not with HID's you dont. When you first switch them on you get a initial flash just like off a camera, then it takes 4-5 seconds for them to get upto full temp.

sorry i made a mistake

I have already tryed a N75h (race) valve but it caused boost surge. If you read the thread from the begining its on page 1 or 2.

I dont know anyone els who has tryed a different N75 valve on a mk4 Cupra, it seams like its more the mk3 crew who tend to like it.

N75 valve gives more boost and more boost=more hp. It`s a cheap and safe way to gain more hp.

I tried N75J but it caused me problems...just didn't feel right..hesitation etc. Standard one works fine for me and am happy with power/boost levels

I know what you mean mate, didnt like part or full throttle. Standard one is fine :)

Do you still get the high revs on a cold start after disconnecting the SAI?

Cold start (-2C) today and it reved to 1.25k while I scraped the windows . Not sure how long it sat like that for but I dont think it was for long.

Ok cheers. I think it's meant to do it for about 90 seconds. I'll just put up with the noise then, it's not too bad really....I just don't want to sound like a chav for too long

I know what I'm doing at the weekend then

Just waiting on my DS2500's from Bill now.

Just standards for now mate as when I replaced rear discs and pads last year I only got crap/cheap discs and they are shot but I got Ferodo standard pads (I think) and pads look ok for now. I'll get some DS2500's for the rear in a few month.

Edit: Actualy, I think they were Mintex and not Ferodo.

Cheers Chris.

I have changed the rear's and they are quite easy to do (as long as you have a piston wind back tool).

You realy need to get the 312mm's on mate, they so good.
