k03s hybrid requires 3" maf and bigger injectors too mate, same with k04 really. k04 also will require different exhaust manifold too
so the k04 will only require different manifold and DP apposed to the k03 hybrid.
hmm....
powerwise is there really that much between them?
they both seem to be able to hit the high 200's

i dont think there will be much in it power wise, might be able to squeeze a tiny bit more out of the k04, but spool up is slightly longer on the k04 (barely).
So a few updates.
Got my car back today from spraying, and hood and roof and shiney black!
they aren't the best pictures, but they'll do for now. Need to give the car a good clean soon, and I'll make a shoot.
I do think the grey bumper strips look kind of off now, so will be getting those sprayed in black as well I think
I also did some more work on the engine bay. Finished my catch tank off with some nice blue hose, and fitted the Golf washer reservoi9r a while back.
Haven;t had the time to mount the new IC with custom route yet though. That will probably happen in the next week or so

btw, the crap that catch tank collects is absolutely disgusting. Good modd for te cash imo keeping that gunk out of the rest of engine.

yeah I'm also very eager about the route. I did quite a bit of work on it, and think the pipe itself turned out great. Its just time to fit it what i need now. Don;t wanna rush it in an hour, so will have to wait for the weekend (although coming weekend I'm working both days...)

glad your loving it, as thats all that matters mate, i'm sure i'd love it when you get some better pics, but i bet its even better in the flesh

I wouldnt spray the bumper mouldings personally - but the rest looks good! Maybe do your wing mirrors too?

(please do not take note of the hose running from chargepipe to DV, I am thinking of a way to route it, as the vac tubing folds closed when bending it...either flex hose, or the infamous Myki tha Pyki copper bends...)

Going back to your k04 quote, my friend has just had this done in his mk3 cupra and it goes like stink, spins in first, second and third and just keeps on going, he hasn't even had it remapped yet, getting that next week. i think you shoulg get that at the price you can pick up k04 turbo/manifold etc these days. LOVING the black roof and bonnet reuvers, and your ic pipework makes me jealous!

Yeah I'm well happy with how it looks now too. What really annoys me though is that until I get the hose from chargepipe to DV fixed I have to drive off boost. And I really want to know if the new route and intercooler make a difference!!!
tarzan I'll post a pic of the route later. Must say it took me quite a while. Left side (seeing from front) kept hitting bumper and pushing it out of the rail. Now I've removed the horn to fit the pipe behind headlight better. Guess I'll have to put it back for MOT, along with my donwpipe lol.
Crissy, yeah I would like to do the k04 023 upgrade, but its quite a bit of cash, and I'm worried the block is gonna take more hammering than it can handle. Guess that's silly with so many here running the same, or even more...
