yeah he said it was stage 2 but now i dont know wheather to beleive him or not, all i know is that revo stage 2 gives you 265bhp and that is what he said it had, have you had your car on the RR pabs

owen

sorry thats wrong, a standard lcr gets 265 on stage 1 no mods

fmic, dv, fpr, 3''dp and exhaust 290 ish

so someones telling you wrong

if the MAF area has been changed / enlarged - then the car will read less air coming in that actually is. This will cause less fuel to be put in & the car to run lean.

this is a bad thing.

revert to the stock MAF, run an ECU reset

however - if you can stick up the Dyno plot it'll be interesting to see where the peak power is, and shape of the graph

yes did this on mine, it ran like ****, uch better when reverted back to stock

agree with work.

enlarging the maf housing wil make the ecu think its geting LESS air.

They even confirm that it will under read on modshack's site (by 11%) - so fitting a 4bar will increase fuelling by 16% (the numbers still aren't the same...)

even so - there's better restrictions in the system than the maf housing

all i know is that revo stage 2 gives you 265bhp......

It's not quite that clean cut mate. Every car is different, every car reacts differently to modifications and every car will react differently to ECU remaps. It's not as simple as 'Stage 2 = 265bhp' and that's that.

You have to ask yourself one thing.... before the dyno, were you happy with the way the car performed?

If No, then you need to consider what you weren't happy with and remedy that problem.

If Yes, then stop worrying about a meaningless dyno printout. All it gives you is bragging rights down the pub, a piece of paper with an estimated figure doesn't change the way your car drives.

And in any case... I'd rather have a car that is nice and fast, yet tell people it's 'only' 245bhp than a car that I claim has 280bhp yet is much slower than others with less power ;)

why do people whack on mods that they dont understand how and why it will give gains, (this also applies to the n75 crowd. Ive been there tested most of them hell even have a few dynos to prove it) then spit the dummy when things arnt right on a bit of paper.

I believe Max Power has a lot to do with it. There are too many people who believe a certain mod = a certain power increase. It simply doesn't work that like.

It is impossible to say that Stage 1 Revo = XXXbhp as it will vary on every car it is applied to.

Worry about how the car drives, not what it states on paper.

no i didnt get a wheel measurement, would that have benefitted me. i am plaaning a trip to STAR this weekend so they may be able to inform me the way to go

Yes it would have as that is the amount of power you are actually putting to the tarmac.

A healthy remapped R should be putting around 230whp down.

Your car should be putting around 240whp down onto the road with your additional mods
