Gutted for you mate.
I have crashed just a couple of cars and it is just horrible, loads of what ifs etc.
At the end of the day, your ok! and you will be back on the road in no time.

Few pics. Passenger side looks fine atm as still wet. Bonnet I couldn't see a scratch on but I know there was something wrong with it.
Beating myself up a bit more this morning but meh.
Even if she gets repaired she'd be sold. Never be the same again to me.

i may be wrong, but it looks like the FMIC is fooked also
, otherwise i'd say take a socket set to it and have it away whilst you got chance.
from experience, if they write it off, you won't be able to go salvaging parts

Well, well echo MSN/TXT/FACEBOOK again - Sorry to hear about it d00d, I personally would say that isnt a write off, aslong as there is no suspension damage, as its just one side of body work and a sill really.
However dont think the Seat Sport intercooler looks in good shape, does it have a ding on the passenger side top?
Main thing is your ok matey, and if you do get the car back later today, and need a hand tomorrow, holla d00d

The car is being brought back here, that's already arranged, so parts will be salvaged!
Police didn't report it to my insurance, just gave the farmer my insurance details.
FMIC is fine other than the crap that's lodged in the bottom, which could well have pierced it.

sorry to hear about the accident mate, never nice when someone smashes their car! fortuantly hasnt happened to me in my ibiza yet, but had a ding in my old saxo that almost wrote it off...and id only had it for 3 weeks!! i was absolutly devasted so i know how you feel!!
as others have said, the main thing is your all alright! cars can be replaced!!

hope u can salvage as much as you can! would it be worth asking someone to take the clutch out? (can you do that and refit to another car anyway?)

Not sure what's happening with all the parts yet, it really depends what I end up with next, if it's another Ibiza then no doubt I'll be keeping them, but I'm yet to decide.
Fairly sure that even if it's not written off that it'd never feel the same to me soooo it's a difficult one!
Clutch I'm desperately thinking of doing myself.. Wasn't that old and was expensive.. Don't think it's even been paid off the credit card yet!

Think as if you're coming out of Winsford, you have the crossroads by some pub, where if you were going to Middlewich, Road One of the industrial estate would be left, right would take you to Crewe, and straight goes to Middlewich - You come to the end of the residential area and it opens out into a national, first bend of that is where I started to lose it, then right by the Stanthorne sign is where it all ended!

I know where you mean, there are a couple of quite nasty bends there. It would be nice if it went to someone like yourself but i wasn't going to mention it after a such a traumatic event................PHIL
