My 05 Onvi MK4 Ibiza Cupra - LCR splitter, vinyl, yellow fogs and polshing

if it was my car id have all the interior in the car like i do in my car but as its not my car id say do what you really want to do also ask yourself are you ever likely to have more than one passenger.
also the first bucket seat is the nicer one id say.

Yeah i know what you mean i got the urge to do it because my mate with his mk3 did his and my mate with an rs, but im now totally in two minds and dont want to end up buying the seats then few month down the line deciding i dont like it and putting the old interior back in. I very rarely have passangers in the back mind but its always nice to know if the time arises you can have them in the back lol. Ahh decisions lol cheers for the reply anyway mate i agree with the first ones looking bit nicer too I think :)

I quite liked it but thought it needed some nice buckets up front to pull it off better, so in the end thought bugger it and put the interior back in lol maybe one day with some nice porsche gt3 seats or something.

Anyway gave the car a good clean and much needed polish after all this bad weather and salt on the roads lately, then took the old cupra badge and nuremburg sticker i had off the boot, and popped the cupra badge on the front bumper, anyway a few pics after all the cleaning..

Anyway ive got a few more small updates coming very soon involving some carbon and maybe an LCR splitter too, only small updates though as its the gfs birthday and ive promised to take her away so its a poor month :ban: but ive got a job interview this wednesday to take me on from my apprenticeship which has took 4 years, so with a bit of luck a lot more funding could be coming my way soon which means time for some real mods :)

Nice looking car mate!

I would also like to replace my bucket seats for something more sportier with better support for my body, however i wouldnt like to remove the air bag...bit afraid to do so tbh.

How are you going to bypass the CEL by removing the airbag by the way? I have heard, with some type of resistor you can do so , but it will also disable the passenger seats too...

thanks mate same with yours! i havnt took my seats out, in the end i put all the interior back in and took the harnessess out. Im not sure on removing the airbags, my mate who has a mk3 cupra has buckets in his and im sure he just unplugged the air bag sensor, im not sure if it put the light on on the dash id assume it did but hes since had a stage 3 map so im wondering if he had the light mapped out as its no longer on or maybe you can turn it off with vagcom? Ill try and find out for you what he did mate as im not 100percent sure myself

well just quickly got a nice little update, with the help of a mate off here fitted my LCR splitter yesterday and have alos begun the lengthy process of starting to polish bits of the engine bay, startign with the inlet manifold, very time consuming though i must admit so im just attacking it in stages when im bored  anyway ill post some pics up tomorrow of the splitter and some of the engine bay once ive finished polishing and done all the necessary bypasses to neaten it up a lot :)

Nice one Nossi! Heard your donating parts to the barrow aswell! Glad you are then he can stop wheelbarrowing about and get the front lowered :p

haha well he did the crappy job of screwing the screws through me bumper for my splitter so thought i was feeling generous haha besides the mother was getting annoyed at them blocking her wheelbarrow...how ironic haha  when are ya next down teesside mate?

I think your wheels look very nice in the grey colour in your sig pics, however i think gloss black would look really good, just a nightmare keeping them clean then with brake dust etc. haha ill be seeing me mate who took his seats out tomorow so ill make sure to ask :) im not sure on the leon 2 seats, are you on about the cupra ones as i must admit they are very nice, id be intrested to know too, im sure you could make some subframes and get them in, just a question of finding a set as i cant imagine there being many about!

Going to try and get an off cut of some vinyl the same colour as the grey bumper inserts tomorow and do the front bar below the mesh insert in grey to give that big mouth look, hard to explain but ive seen a few people do it and think it looks pretty sweet [B)] ill post some pics up once its done, hopefully with a decent camera for once as well and maybe not on the drive for once!!

Few more little updates, first of all got a signwriters to do the lower bar on the bumper in vinyl for the "big mouth" look but he buggered it up and cut it too short so im going to do it meself when i get time, didnt look as fiddly as i thought it would be, heres a pic anyway..

after

As you can see hes only covered the top part of the bar not the whole thing which is what i asked for and to be honest hes made a write mess of it [:@]
Anyway, painted the front fogs yellow today with some lense paint, my mates just done it to his 106gti and i though it looked smart! So few pics of that and back with the small plate again, which i could drive round with that one!!

Also popped two more screws into the splitter at the centre as it had none in before so the splitter now sits much more flush than it does in these pics, oh and finally my exhaust was looking rather tired so got a bit of wet and dry and metal polish on it and now looks good as new

Also begun the perving of the engine bay haha, removed the engine cover and mounts, have polished up the inlet manifold and am going to get the rocker cover powder coated gloss black soon with some nice new shiny bolts! N249 bypass and the other one N118 or somthing like that and some red vac pipe just to tidy it all up. Some nice new Denso plugs are on the way, oil change and hopefully next week if all goes to plan a trip down to P-Torque to get a stage one map!
