Well seeing that 2009 is underway i thought i'd start the year off with a new purchase (Thanks to Bill for sorting them out for me  )

Plans for this year are to replace the rods, fit a baffled sump, high flow manifold, 3" down pipe and maybe a custom tip aswell and then get the boost wound up and see what the hybrid can really do.

I'm collecting parts for it all at the moment but hope to have it all done fitted and running ready for the bhp show & Lydden in may (funds allowing)

The countdown begins!

You'll get it done in 4 months.

I don't think the bank balance agree's but i'm sure some overtime @ Midnight Motors will help ;)

Nice mate. Be good to see what the turbo can realy push out.

Aslong as i can break the 300 bhp barrier i think i'll be happy, rods are for peace of mind really and i wanted to pull the engine apart and have a nose inside so this gives me a good excuess

Finally it meets the rollers

Well after guessing the power output of the car since the K04 hybrid was fitted i decided it was time to get it on the rollers and get some sort of idea of the power it's putting out.

Sunday saw a trip to AmD in Essex for a rolling road session, results were not as expected but it gives me a base figure to build on.

1st run saw 246.6bhp & 257 lb/ft
2nd run saw 241.1bhp & 259.1 lb/ft

This coming weekend will see the car in pieces yet again and over the next month or so i'll be adding some new toys in preperation for more power

Cheers to flash for the pics :)

Yeah, i've got rods, pistons and valves going in (overkill on a K04 hybrid but good ground for future turbo's ;) ) waiting on high flow mani and 3" downpipe and then i'll hopefully be paying Bill a visit to let him work his magic on it

It was only a matter of time ;)

I'm in the same boat with the manifold, don't want the car mapped again untill it's fitted along with the new downpipe so will have to keep playing the waiting game, will be interesting to see what it does when it's all done though
