nice results, what about torque???? btw you can already order new clutch :), I change mine after 12000 km with remap and almost same modifications like you have, I just dont have the autotech pump still.

Thanks Tommy, and congratulations for yours ...:) Yours seems to have a lot of torque ... 507Nm = 51.68 Kgm (is it at the wheels ...???) Mine is 45.2Kgm --> 443Nm (at the wheels) which is in no way > 470-480Nm at the crank ...;) This is probably the issue with the clutch ... Mine looks fine at the momment, and we'll see ... I have 18.000 Km now (and chipped when completed the first 500-600Km) ...:)

By the way, what kind of clutch did you order ...???

I cant say if its on the wheels.

About the clutch I was very stupid, when I started to have a problems with clutch, I bought ceramic clutch disk only which had to be replaced also with fly-wheel ( also K.O. ), so we bought also new fly-wheel, but standart. At the end I paid for new parts and repair cost same price like for new clutch kit from SACHS

I dont like the ceramic clutch disk, its very uncomfortable to drive the car in city and traffic jams.

BTW I will have to go to service, becose after 25000 km is my front axle totaly dead, also both axle shafts are k.o., its propably becose car has too much torque, repair cost will be 2500 pounds and Seat making problems becose my car has coilovers, so they dont want to change it in warranty.

Out of interest, what problems were you having that made this noticeable?

we dont have very good roads down here in CZ, I have coilovers + 19" with 225/35 so I could expect that. But I think maybe is the reason that I put on stock cupra wheels KUMHO semi-slicks and I did maybe 10 000 km on them this year, so I feel cracking in steering column ( started in 13000 on the clock ) and if the front wheels spining, front axle is acting weird plus I can hear knocking. Car was already in servis for inspection, but they are idiots, they think that the reason is aftermarket coilovers, so we will have to find some different way how to do it on warranty.

Is anybody else who has same problems? I know that big torque is problem for this car, but after 15 000 km when I started to have this problem???

What a heck are you doing with your car  Of course you can break everything if you dont care or just treating car with no mercy.

Are you 100% sure that its front axle, which making that noise ? I just dont belive that it could be that or you just "spanking" your car very very heavily all the time...

Do you have installed LSD on your car ?

I dont have LSD, I am not sure if I will go for it. I am 100 % sure, car was in service, its just problem to translate the words to english.

My car has a 507 NM torque, its too much for this car and I use semi-slicks tyres too + the roads are terrible here, its every day slalom drive to work and home

torque generally destroys clutches and gearboxes and generally not driveshafts though?

I belive that your torque values is not the problem cause...

Are you sure that you have not destroyed your front silent blocks as a result of the 19" wheels+very low profile + coilovers with lowering ...???

I instaled coilovers and 19 " when car had 10 000 km, right now car has a 27500 km, I think I had 19" only 8 to 10 0000 km, normaly I use stock wheels with semi-slicks. In service they told me that the problem are not silentblocks but half-shafts on both sides plus the steering column ( this problem I have already more then 12 000 km - I feel cracking in steering wheel ) has to be replace imadiatly.

I think if the car has so much torque and wheels are spining too much becose cupra doesnt have diff, every car will have a problem with stock clutch and front axle.

I thought I will replace stock silentblocks, but powerflex doesnt have them for cupra and we are not sure if the golf V silentblocks will fit for cupra axle.

I think so, that those mkv blocks will fit...or almost all. Compare Oem part numbers between cupra and mkv and you are good to go...

When you say front axle, what are you talking about exactly?

Nice vid mate, but not the greatest performance from the STI IMO.. Starting at 3,000rpm won't of helped for a start, unless you're doing an 'in gear' test..
Would still expect the Cupra to pull away, but not by that much..

it was in gear test..i believe from 4th or so:p
