That's something I've tried doing over the past couple of years - the trouble is that a lot of my journeys are pretty short, like going to the tip, Euro Car Parts or up to the girlfriend's house, so I have to devise a route that'll at least get the coolant up to temperature, but it's rare the car gets to really open up for long periods of time.
The air filter is something I could change - looking at my notes, I installed the current filter in August 2019, but I've only done 3,000 miles since then. The last oil change and oil filter was about a month before that as well, so that oil has been in the car for a couple of years, but only has 4,000 miles on it (I drove to the Netherlands between the oil change and the air filter change).
EDIT: I might take the air box out and give it a good clean just to be sure. There are probably leaves and things caught up in there somewhere that might be restricting the air intake even before it gets to the filter.
Oil change intervals are a nightmare. I know some people on here change their oil something like three times a year no matter what the mileage, but it's a pain for me to do just the one, both because there's an environmental issue there, but also given I do most of my work on the street and the space outside my house often gets snapped up the moment I drive away to warm up the engine for the oil change, then there's the faff of taking off the undertray and all those other excuses...
Truth be told, I think I subconsciously bought my new clutch because I want the car remapped. I don't need a clutch for about another 10,000 miles, and at the rate I'm going, that'll take about four years to do, but I do really want a remap and so I'm always edging towards putting the new clutch in as my next big job...
What's yours putting out at the moment and where did you get it done?
