Good project! Keep it up.. [B)]

Why thank you, will do my best

Nice work on bringing the brembos back to their former glory, looking great now. I still have a nice little pile of parts for the hybrid conversion, but your doing it the right way, bit by bit spreading the cost. It will all be worth it when its done, well thats what i keep saying to myself anyway:whistle:

Keep up the good work mate

PS thats a serious amount of detailing products you got there, get some pics up of the car nice and clean when you can :D

Yeah i am trying to spread it out so it doesnt look like i have spent that much, i sure do hope its worth it.

Thats not even half i have bodyshop products, a rotary, glass polishes and numerous other detailing products, will do at some point when the weather cleans up

Nice write up will, always happy to help where I can.

Speak to David at Sere Motors about the rest of the timing belt kit too.

You sure do you and Al have been a help with this car. Will do when i get off my arse and find part numbers etc.

Those stoppers will work bra at our track day loon ;)

Not going very far now my clutchpedal failed on me tonight so i had fun pushing it for ages in the snow!!!! Yes you all heard my clutch pedal finally gave way, in the process of removing it but i cant get it up my drive, so in the street in the snow is no fun trust me[:@]

I know they will be up to the job but just dont want it on the track just yet, need the go to keep up with they big guns!

one of the best yellow ibiza's on the site.

Well done mate.

Why thankyou that is some statement to make but thanks makes the effort worth while. i am looking to progress further.

Aye she is shaping up nicely....keep up the good work loon far the best R i've seen bar mine of course :p

Haha thanks for the comment,

But away back out in the snow to remove this clutch pedal! Hopefullly get a friend to weld it back up, trying my luck at this time on a friday night but you never know. Just when things were getting better!

Well got the pedal off and father does what he does best, fix the problem,

Broken pedal, crappy two spot welds from factory broke pretty obvious this would happen,
Photo0136-1.jpg

So this is a case of when it happens not if it will happen. This breaking leaves you with no clutch and pushing my car in the snow and ice in my case.

Some bending the broken plate into place and a solid weld all the way round, some fabricating and a lick of plate the pedal was fixed and looking beter than it ever did. [B)]

So thats the pedal fixed and not breaking in a hurry, the spring is good fun to get back in but there is a trick to it. :p

Neale, you need nice products to keep the paintwork looking swell.

I'm no pro remember but i have asked for advice and i would recommend what i have above,

I also have a snow foam gun and use hyper wash, but going to give snow foam a bash
A decent shampoo - meguiars gold class etc.
Clay bar- not to clued up i went for the beginner kit from meguiars
Last touch meguiars- used for drying (gives a good shine) and a lubricant for claying
A polish of your choice
Dodo juice lime prime
Dodo juice bannana armour
poorboys wgheel sealant for those refurbed wheels

Your car will look sweet,

Another thing been dodgying the fact i have had no ABS or traction control for a while now and knew i needed ABS sensors, Finaly got round to fitting them last night so i now have abs and traction control a boost in this crappy weather.

Just need to get the fault cleared now.

Try this place for the cleaning products - http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/
This place for the dodo - http://www.dodojuice.com/

PB will explain alot on there site on how to look after your car

New shiney dipstick -

Before horrble orange tube
Photo0002.jpg

After a light key and a few coats of undercoat and plate.
Photo0004.jpg

Dipstick handle removed and new one fitted-
Photo0003.jpg

That would also show some orange so -

A few photos of it fitted

i know i should have cleaned the manifold up a bit more but it does for just now.
One shot of how the engine bay stands now, no more orange dipstick, next will be a cover that sits infront of the inlet manifold and a new coolant bottle as that one wouldnt clean up.
Photo0008.jpg

Eventually i will be getting the coolant hose kit from forge and that will be all the hoses replaced with new black ones.
