The elbow looks good! I need to go the same to my arches (check my new pics in my thread).

The reason behind the intake is that it is meant to have better flowing air coming from that direction, I'm not sure why though... I have taken mine out and put in a cold air feed that runs to where those ducts are as mine are out because there is no more crappy SMIC! :D

Theres a few things i still need to update on here, i shall when i can be bothered.
I'm thinking of cutting up the ducts keeping the right hand one as it fitrs nicely in the bumper (discreet style, if you can be discreet in my car  ) and modifying it to go up the filter.

Why thanks Baz after slagging me for cleaning and undersealing.lol. Which to point out i havent undersealed the car yet.

I had to, the only thing that was bugging me was the arches and grill as you know, so i'm back on the case again.

Two things on the list i'm being nice, fit the elbow and to get cracking with refurbing my wheels.

Well time for another update, father was busy whilst i was away and was greeted with this on my return,

Photo0057-1.jpg

The new elbow and silicone joiners fairly make a difference to the bay now, its coming together nicely.

As you can see from the picture above my dads friend also came up with the goods with the caps they look spot on and cost me nothing; so far, once he has made everything he will be getting a few bottles of wine and a nice malt whiskey. Few other touches up my sleeve.

Photo0058-1.jpg

He was talking of taking them back to the workshop and getting the seat logo engraved on them, What do you guys think?

Some more pictures showing the makeup of the tip,

The bend to the filter had to be changed due to it hitting the battery, personally i want to move it to the boot but seems too much hassle to me.

From the above pictures you can see there is no elbow coming off the turbo, i chose not to this

A - Because it was too dam fiddly and

B my pipe is not as restrictive like the normal cupras that i have seen and also has some writing on it?

Not the best pic i know.

More updates soon

Looks very tidy Will. That part of the turbo pipe does seem bigger than standard which is odd, is guess in a good way! Be interesting to know just how much bigger though!

 Banana on wheels! :D

Rather quick banana lol but thanks.

Not much to update just a few bits and bobs, been having really bad luck with intercoolers been sent the wrong one twice [:@]

Got a centre for the steering wheel made up since it is a cupra R, looks good as Baz will agree.
Photo0059.jpg

Also after reading the ipod connector guide in the faq section, i decided to try something different due to having the volt and oil pressure gauges down in the centre,

Photo0060.jpg

It is just a useless card holder thats no use for anything, wired from the back of the tape deck and the ipod nano fits in a treat.

My car is slowly raking up the miles as the photo shows

Photo0061.jpg

Everyone that looked under my bonnet kept mentioning the state of the throttle body, so decided to sort out that problem,
Before-
Photo0064.jpg

After-
Photo0067.jpg

It doesn’t look much but it does freshen it up and should look good with my new intercooler piping.

Also got round to polishing my strut cover caps, as you guessed custom made again, might go for a pop rivet look on the top of them like the forge ones? What do you think?

How the engine bay stands at the moment, needs a proper clean but shines up well -
Photo0065.jpg

And a random front end photo, just chuft with it as i got round to removing all the insects!

I have a few other ideas for the engine bay, anymore suggestions welcome as well as bad and good criticism..

Thanks
William

Lookin fine min, what aboot uprated hoses before yoyu stick the hybrid on

Once the intercooler comes and i do some more customisation to the intercooler the new pipe work will be going on and if funds allow the collent hose kit from Forge may be purchased. That should be all the pipe work sorted and ready for the hybrid.

You know what to do baz, some elbow grease, come to mention it i have some extra fine steel wool in the kitchen might go shine up the shiney bits.:help:

Have you got a turbo hybrid' yet? I need to tidy up my charge pipe/inlet/TB as well as they are letting the side down!

Might do the TB while getting my IC pipes sorted.

It's looking very good buddy! Clean!

Nop have the funds just buying parts at a time so i don't end up skint, have road tax, intercooler and just found out new pads this month to buy, already bought the ic pipework.

You going down the bling route or paint?

Well, no update really apart from i got 2nd place in show and shine at the local car show,

Good show since i wasn't even entering it for show and shine i just like to keep my car clean. I was up against cars just from the show room and some trailor queens! Where my car is driven the way it should be everyday.

There were some guys taking photos of the car during the show, so will post them when i get them.

Also waiting for the incorrect intercooler to be picked up by courier so i can order a new one. Twice i have been sent the wrong one 3 weeks this has set me back so far! Not a happy bunny.

Good.
It's good to see a bit of healthy competition between two similar cars.
As you said stopping is your game, fast is Josh's game, just now;)
