That's my problem, and starting it on cold mornings is also a pain! I want a gel battery but i'll just try something a bit bigger!

The pc680 isnt a gel type battery IIRC
Nah sorry, it's a dry cell, but the ones i've been looking at are gel. Still haven't decided on anything yet though as i'm still tempted to stick it in with the spare wheel.
I got some Recaro Speed seats really cheap.

The engine is now out of the car and stripped down. Looks like it's the piston ring from No.1 that is on it's way out and 4 has also started. The head gasket looked like it's been leaking too.
One of my friends is going to check the block for me to see if it's damaged at all and hopefully strip the pistons out too.

I'm looking forward to setting to work on mine now, not sure i really want to know what's going on inside but it's gotta be done

Thought i'd add a quick pic of the current state of play with Martin's car, i've been at work today pulling the bottom end apart (this is all new to me so i'm learning again and having fun whilst doing it)
No1 and no4 bores are slightly scored but apart from that everything else looks okay, it's going off monday to be inspected by a proper machine shop so will hopefully know what we're into by the end of the week

All depends on what needs replacing, it's getting uprated rods at minimum but depends what they come back with once engines been inspected, if it needs pistons it's probably going to be a while.
Once all the parts are together i would hope a couple of weekends would see it running again
