Looking good dude

Thanks Damo :)

how about getting some spacers to fill the arches?

Yep 20mm spacers are next on the list I think. The rear wheels look a little lost atm.

Cheers mate. I didn't realise what a big difference lowering the car would make.

I still need to sort out the dampening settings as the ride is a bit bouncy. But the main thing is that it doesn't crash over bumps like it used to. The car rides a lot flatter through corners now

Finally sorted out the dampening settings. Got them set on 1 front and back. At least now it doesn't drive like a bouncy castle

I've also noticed since fitting the coilovers, the car feels more responsive under acceleration and braking. It just shows that some power was being lost as the suspension took the strain. Has anyone else noticed this?

yep i noticed this to!the car is a fair bit quicker off the line and much more composed under braking.

your probally find your abs kicks in quicker now in the wet and its easier to aquaplane,it was in my old car after lowering. i can agree with braking and pulling away too as you dont have to wait for the front to lift when you pull away. or dip when braking.

Cheers for the heads up on the ABS. Even more reason for me to get my 312mm brakes on!

Thanks mate :) Took a while to resize it etc as photobucket kept freezing! Or maybe it was my crappy pc lol.

I really want to try and get some photos of the car with nothing in the background.

Exhaust Video

Finally got round to getting an exhaust video up! It's not the best video but it gives you a rough idea of how it sounds. I love the bark noise when the engine first starts :D

I still need to get some drive by vids taken, but I can't take them on my own. I did think of strapping my camera to the rear wiper then going for a drive

i like the way you all go about doing a lot of the mod's your self. i was quoted £350 for getting my mirrors and the side bumper panels colour coded. Eclipse blue, i fancy doing it myself but fear i may botch it up and make it look amatuer!

DIY Modding

suppose i could, your right. that would work out chepaer.

whilst i have your attention BP, im in the proccess of getting 16" multispoke alloys in WHITE, and i read about folk colour coding mirrors to the alloy colour, i dont think this would work for an eclipse blue ibiza, think that would be taking it to far, but i would like to colour code the wheels with some thing else maybe the badge?

also..... any tips on debadging, i tried gently to prise them letters off the back but feared doing soem damage so have left it just now.

not too sure about the colour of your wheels etc maybe you could post a few pics up in the photochop section onthise site with what your intentions are

on the badges

boil your kettle liet it cool down a little bit then poor water over the letters then get some floss or something similar then run that down the back and they should come off then jsut give it a nice clean with abit of tar remover or something along those lines

sounds lush nice and deep Perfect

Thanks :) The driveby vids should sound even better. My mate reckons it sounds a bit like a Scooby when i'm booting it!

I hate paying for stuff that I know I can do myself, if I have enough time. £350 is a massive price for having your mirrors and side strips painted!

I only spray paint small parts myself, larger parts like bumpers etc I get sprayed in a body shop to get a perfect finish. If you can get a decent colour match i'd say give the mirrors and side strips a go yourself. As long as you take your time you sould get a good finish.

 Just about to say I did the same. I used an old store card to start to prise the letters off, then I used a pencil rubber/eraser to get the last stubborn bits of sticky stuff off... worked a treat.

absolutely spot on mate

I am not a fan of the whole powerflow exhaust type makes (not yours but I meant in general), or cars which have silly twin exhausts stuck on them, which clearly are not meant to be there, BUT.....

yours looks almost OEM, and is a VERY tidy fit. Well done....and it sounds lush as well:D

good job!

i like the debaged look, so il give that a try, once i get it back from garage that is! (new alternator getting fitted)

im getting candy white alloys 16" . think candy white alloys mirrirs would be a touch too far so gonna colour code them eclipse blue, and match the alloy colour with some thing more subltle on the car. The satrt of a modding addiction me thinks, not doing anything to the engine at all for at least a year. Money is like hens teeth, RARE!

cheers for your tips guys, il keep looking back for more.

That sounds awesome, and like others are saying, looks a perfect fit with the rear bumper too. Will be great to hear the driving vids. [B)]
