Sounds pretty good especially cos they are going to remove the tyre and do it properly alot of cheap jobs they just pull the tyre lip up and paint underneath a bit! Mine cost more than that but then they were baked in an oven but I did shop about alot and your price sounds good.

thats good... i think thats my next thing im doing....will put up photos off my colourcoding tomorrow so can see what colour wheels would look good...

just my car is luna gray....and the wheels are a very similar colour.....so i think a darker colour will look very effective....

Well I try and do things myself but nothing much really so not exactly mechanically minded but enjoy the challenge, I work in a truck and bus garage so actually get bored of hearing about mechanics now!

lol i miss the trade somtimes but i dont miss the workshop bitching but i know what you mean i used to hate working on my own car when i was a mechanic.
what arb are you getting?
staying on subject what exhaust tip did you go for? thats for you aswell aswell knight85.

Workshop bitching ,oh my god I am always saying men are worse than women. I am so outnumbered only 2 other girls and they work alot less hours than me! The worst bitching is about our nightshift & its foreman they are quite useless!

Anyway exhaust tip will be oval never liked the twin that came with my FR. Well was gonna get a Fabia vRS front ARB and the Whiteline rear ARB but not sure now I've spent all this money! May leave it a bit longer as it's not actually faulty just thought it would be a good idea to get it done along with the wisbone bushes I need to get done soon. Thing is I am not doing the front ARB or bushes myself no way and the labour will push this up!

Well my milltek cat back non res arrived today so will have it fitted by the weekend and report back. I am ordering the downpipe with de-cat too before the offer ends so wil let you know what it's like when i've got the cat back on then when i've fitted the downpipe too.

Well I fitted the cat back this morning and went for a good drive. Not really any performance difference, maybe slightly sharper throttle response but nothing really. Sounds nice though when it goes from 3 to 5k revs. Maybe I will notice more difference when I've got the downpipe with decat fitted.

Sounds like what I want actually, would you go non resonated then? Would this go through MOT, I'm not sure about that side of things as manufactures tend to put for track sue only not road legal in tiny print!
See awesome have this priced at £261 incl fitting or delivery not bad!

i have a turbo back, large down pipe, de-cat, non-res, with the oval tailpipe[B)]

passed 2 MOT's, not a problem!

but i went de-cat after reading on here that desiel don't need a cat as they give off fumes which aren't measured (or summert) or much lower levels of Co2, hence the low car tax band............. basically they don't need a cat ;)

by the way, quite as a normal exhaust driving normally, then when its playtime you get a nice roar! :funk:
defeinately get a non-res [B)]

Hi m8 does the downpipe make a lot of difference? Mine is coming in a couple of weeks. Also, what's it like to fit? When I was doing my cat back this morning it looked a bit tricky getting to the turbo coz of stuff in the way.

IIRC, i raised the passenger side of the car at the front and back, USE AXLE STANDS!!!
then you will be able to crawl under and get a spanner on the turbo bolts, 3 in total!
its more of a ball ache getting the exhaust rubbers on , found it easier taking them off the car and fitting them to the "prongs" of the downpipe ;)
a new exhaust gasket for in between the turbo / downpipe flange, from the dealers, only about £3 ;)

as for difference, the turbo spools up quicker, thus increasing BHP
the major improvement i found that whilst commuting in traffic, cruisinbg along, i was able to cruise in a gear higher than normal @~1500rpm and was able to accelerate easier, with the flow of traffic for example, without the engine straining/struggling/juddering,
IIRC my MPG improved :funk:becasue of being able to cruise in the higher gear and at lower revs! winner all round really! [B)]

yea went for the oval tip./.....cant wait till next week to fit it!

hopefully will sound lovely as i accelerate! :)

Cool well I'll let you know how I get on. Do you not need to remove any bits and do you get to the turbo to undo the bolts from under the car? When I was under there it looked very tricky to get to the turbo! Like I wouldn't be able to get a ratchet up there...

P.s - how stupid is Seat's exhaust design, if you want to take it off in one piece you have to remove the rear "axle"! Why didn't they just design it in two pieces like the Milltek, muppets!

most modern cars are like that its a right pain.

another point to note is, if you've fitted the cupra or the facelift FR rear bumper, order the Cupra / FR exhaust!
the cupra / FR bumper sticks out further and they weld the chrome tip to suit ;)

you can get up to it working around the sub frame ;)

yeah, almost felt criminal taking a hacksaw to a perfectly good exhaust  to get the OEM one off

Hop I am not gonna have problems when I eventually upgrade my rear bumper then the tip may be hidden then!

i had the origninal Sport pre-facelift bumper on when i bought mine and it sat nice with about an inch / inch & 1/2 as you can just see below

15062008579.jpg

then i got nudged in the rear and needed a new bumper!
talked the repair shop  into ordering, spraying and fitting the Cupra rear bumper :funk:
however when i went to pick it up it was noticable straight away :(
the end of the chrome tip was ~2 inches in.
but with a bit of re-adjustment to the exhaust , ie. undoing the brackets and expanding joints (as if to take it apart) an inch a piece the chrome tip now is reasonably flush with the edge of the bumper :funk:
i would have preffered it sticking out 1/2 inch or so but its either the way it is or i buy a new cat-back system, sell the one i have and loose a bit of cash. didn't seem worth the effort or expense
so in essence, if you definately plan to fit a Cupra rear bumper, get the Cupra exhaust and live with it sticking out of the Sport bumper a couple of inches until you upgrade your bumper.

Do you recommend I get them to fit it sticking out 2 inches or maybe more in prep for the bumper? I really cannot afford a rear bumper at the same time as this and don't really want to wait to fit it! It would look silly for a while but would spur me to sort the rear bumper which I keep leaving and buying random things like exhausts!
