local place will do it for around 30 quid...good price :)

as its a new-ish car the hangers should be in good knick anway..

any idea on time for postrage?

Awesome are offering the fitting free if you can get down there. I'm gonna order the DP today and fit it all myself. All you have to do is bolt stuff off then bolt the new stuff on. Spray a bit of that nut loosener stuff a few days before hand to ensure they come off easy if you're doing turbo back.

would love to get it fitted but i live quite far away, live nw london! therefore 30 quid for fitting is not bad, as would spend quite a bit on diesel getting there and back!

i may attempt fitting it myself, as awesome say its just a straight swap

You can drive a lot of miles for £30 of diesel, they say you can get 5-600 miles to a tank from them diesels. drive up there and see if it's true. If Awesome are fitting it they will do a proper job rather than a back street bodge.

Then enjoy the soundtrack all the way home.

are you saying i will do a back street bodge........ hahaha :) i wouldnt even flatter myself that much.

my good friend google maps has told me its about 205 miles away, so thats over 400 miles, so would be under a full tank, but its more the time for driving up there, i would have to take a day off work..etc...

i would love to have them fit it, but i dont think its possible due to work and time constraints....from speaking to a few people it seems its a straight forward swap over...so going to get my garage to do it, they do all my work and family's car so dont think they would 'bodge it'!

i see you are member of southampton archey club? i used to live in soton for 4 years....lovely part of the world!

It's not bad down this way, with all this sunshine I would be thinking about throwing a sicky and taking a drive out for the day.................................................;) And if an exhaust sort of fell onto my car it would be rather lucky.

dont we all...dont we all.....live in Bassett for a year, then polygon for 1, then Highfield ..................yes you guessed it i was a STOOODENT!

Same situation drive far too long and no time, will order mine tonight shame it's a week but hey its a great deal so can't complain you go for non resonated? £30 sounds fine to me I will try and ring around for the same when it arrives.

yea non-res all the way...apprently they have been flying out...so they have to order more, think mine is coming in on monday, if you order soon i guess it will come in the same time....

really looking forward to it now, was bit hesitant about spending more money but then my brain stopped working and my heart/credit card kicked in.....:cartman:

Yes this is my biggest spend on the car bar the cambelt and quite a random one! this was gonna be a future thing but this deal I doubt will come back so doing it now! Will order tomorrow on my lunch not enough time today. See you ahve done pretty much the same mods as me to date good choices!;)
My work think I'm a mad woman buying a Milltek!

yea i got a readers thread i think as well....just looked through yours, think you have done bit more....like HIDs and 312mm and new alloys

i really want HIDs but dont know where to start with fitting and dont really wanna pay someone to do it yet....:) i really like my alloys so wont change them, but may get them refurbed in a darker colour in the coming months!

get involved lol love it! My car is older but nothing wrong with the exhaust at all still.
HIDs are very easy to fit I know nothing about electrics and did it myself the fitting instructions were very clear as well seriously one of the best mods I have ever done feel alot safer driver with better light on the road and had 2 MOTs no problems just make sure you get a garage to align them so you are not blinding anyone if you get some!
I'll make you jealous if you come to the meet as should have it fitted by then Alex!

Hello I'm female so prob know even less! Basically just plug and play no need to make any connections, the worst bit is the lack of space in the engine bay and cable tying the ballasts in the wings destroying your hands! I got the popular HIDs 4 u ones, you can get them cheaper than that but when they get down to £30 I start thinking they are too cheap and mine have a long warranty period as well. Just don't drill the holes in the light covers for the wires too big like I did!
Opps we are ruining your thread going off topic now.

yep cool, will look into doing them, but off on holiday next month so prob need to save some money!

thread may have run its course now as i got the milltek exhaust...but still if anyone has a pic of the oval back box on a mk4 that would be great!

aimez---did you have your alloys refurbed? a place near me does them for 40 quid a wheel, very tempted to get them in a different colour...like darker....

Yes got mine acid dipped & powder coated at a specialist that just deal in wheels and fitted new tyres for me too, could have got them done cheaper with just painting but wanted it done to last longer and the wheel were kerbed quite alot too. Have ordered my exhaust just now, if youn hadn't started this thread I probably wouldn't have one as I didn't know there was a deal on so thanks!

hahaha ok...well sorry if it means you spent more money.......only really got interested when i was looking at exhaust systems and someone mentioed90 quid for a straight pipe and tail pipe....however that never really emerged round my parts....so the next best thing was a milltek cat-back at that insane price!

very excited about getting it fitted..

got my colourcoding down today....he also mentioned he would refurb my alloys in a darker colour...for £40 per tyre...plus £15 for removing the tyre.......so £175 for the lot....this sound good? its not powder coated
