Do you recommend I get them to fit it sticking out 2 inches or maybe more in prep for the bumper? I really cannot afford a rear bumper at the same time as this and don't really want to wait to fit it! It would look silly for a while but would spur me to sort the rear bumper which I keep leaving and buying random things like exhausts!

if your definately getting a cupra bumper, get the exhaust for the cupra !
fit it now if you can live with the exhasut tip sticking out about 2 inches more than the pic i posted until you get a cupra bumper or buy the milltek now, save up for the bumper and have the 2 fitted at the same time ;)
having a milltek sat waiting to be fitted would make you save quicker to get the bumper!;)

So you saying there sell a different exhaust for the cupra then obviously, but then surely it fits differently to the car for a cupra and my my car is an FR not a cupra diesel. I'm confused now thought the exhaust were just make for what mark the ibiza is and what engine not what bumper it has?

Facelift FR and Cupra rear bumpers are exactly the same, as Air121005 has mentioned, Milltek weld on the tip further along the pipe so that it sticks out past the bumper. If you are planning on getting a Cupra/Facelift FR rear bumper in the future then make sure you order the exhaust with the tip welded further along the exit pipe.

oops maybe too late for this! How do they know I don't have a facelift bumper do they do it on year?? I'll pm then then as I will definitely get the rear bumper in future as looks odd with just the facelift on the front.

They may do it on the year, however they should have confirmed which rear bumper you have, as it's quite common for people to change them.

No they didn't ask they are doing so many they probably don't bother should be up to us to tell them really. Well I have sent a pm only confirmed the order today and they are out of stock but will see. If not I will have to jiggle it about and see if it can come further forward. Thanks guys I would never have thought of this!!

Okay apparently they don't make them that short anymore they had issues with it so they have already got me a different one. I take it you must have got your before this Altech? Relief!

I don't have a Milltek, I got a custom exhaust made...you can see it in my signature. I was just aware that Milltek had redesigned the exhaust tip to stick out further for the facelift FR/Cupra bumpers.

How do all just an update on the milltek I fitted on Wednesday. When I first put it on I thought it was pretty good and was taking the car over 3k just to hear it but to be honest i've got a bit bored of it already. Before I had it fitted I rarely rev'd it much coz you don't really need to. Just seems like I've wasted the money now :-(. Hopefully when I fit the DP it might make a difference in performance or make the noise a little better but from what I've been reading a mufflerectomy sounds like the best bet or a custom exhaust with straight through pipe from the turbo. So there ya go!

I done the same thing, put the whole system on from the turbo, unimpressed and the tailpipe looks s:censored:t compared to the standard system.

I put the standard one back on when the turbo is finally fixed next week.

So annoyin, just had my MOT and need new bushes which is gonna cost me 200 quid fitted if I can't get it done at college(i do mechanics). 50 quid if I do it myself but could have spent the money I spent on the exhaust on them!

Well I do not like the standard tail pipe either unlike disco biscuit so that will be a bonus anyway and I could not afford the whole things at once and most people said only go for that if doing big engine upgrades in future which I am not so think this suits me

I don't see the point in paying for that system if the most I will do is a phase 1 remap.

im only going as far as a stage 1 p-torque remap, so only want to ge the cat-back.....but now im woondering if it is worth it afterall if the results are not that marvelous...?

I doubt you'll be amazed with the Milltek cat back system. Yes you may notice a slight performance gain, but I reckon it doesn't sounds any better than a mufflerectomy. For the prices that you were quoted for a custom cat back system it makes sense to choose the Milltek for the quality and the good price that Awesome are selling them for

I have a petrol Cupra rather than a diesel, but I noticed my exhaust seemed much louder after I had the downpipe and sports cat fitted. Also, I went to Ultimate Dubs with Ash (Ibiza 130 TDi) and his car sounds great, just a straight thru pipe from turbo back. No drone whilst cruising on the motorway but when he puts his foot down it makes a deep rumble, sounds great :D

I don't know why people pay so much for a Milltek cat-back for diesels tbh, the best sounding ones all have a mufflerectomy  It'd be cheaper to get a complete system custom made probably lol. I know of a couple of people who bought Magnex cat-back exhausts for their Ibizas and the first thing they did was go get the backbox removed and replaced with a straight bit of pipe. Millteks just seem to be far too expensive for diesels imo. I LOVE the sound of my petrol though ;)
