Nice offer Martin haha but D.K got in there 1st unless he wants the DP and you want the Cat? :p This is the last of the mods until April though, Insurance, cambelt and tyres are next.

:bleh: Sorry Mart :bleh:

I bought new Brembo disc's from Seat, Pete88 sorted me out a good price [B)]
I'm useing these with DS2500 and they perform very well, I might go for grooved disc's next,
I did have EBC Red stuff pads on the front for a while and they were not good, I cant see me buying anything other than DS2500 now

I would love genuine but sooo expensive unless I got lucky like you :D. I looked at grooved Brembo discs and they were £295 for the pair!

Ok, so the brakes are done and what an improvement. I used Badger Bill's guide to bed them in and all seems well. I rammed them on from 70mph and almost to 0mph and I think my face nearly fell off. Cleaned ther car again aswell ;)

Yes very, it's a great setup. There is no noise from the disc over OEM, really quiet. I'd like to write an extensive review about it all but there's not alot to say TBH, buy the parts, follow Bill's advice and enjoy knowing that, given your tyres are good, you can stop dead in a matter of seconds :)

The only mod that I had to do was cut the pad wear sensor from the old pads and solder the ends of the wires togther to stop the light coming on, on the speedo cluster.

Afraid so. One of the reasons is because I have to use mine midweek. The mileage and the price of V-Power is just one of the deciding factors. If I had a garage things might be different.

That's sad to hear, I guess it's not safe on the street around your way?

Have you considered hiring a garage? Try www.parkatmyhouse.co.uk, the cost of hiring a garage/driveway near you for £20 a week might be cheaper :). I found a nice driveway in a secluded road with CCTV, owned by an old chap near me for £15p/w when I ran out of space to put mine.

Hey Darren, went alright in the end, had an issue sticking the lambda probe in, looks like where the old one was removed, the thread stripped a little but it's all good now that the thread is retapped. Exhaust is quite throaty and burbles but still pretty tame due to the OEM cat-back, nice little hum though. Performance wise it's made quite a big difference, less lag and accelerates harder and NO pollution light! That's without the cat-back & stage 2 so I have high hopes for when ever that arrives :)

I bet you cleaned your car when you got home! I know I did :D

Hey people, as above, the PipeWerx 3" DP & 200cell Sports Cat are fitted, mated to the OEM LCR 2.5" Cat-Back exhaust system. I took the car out again today to bed it in a little and get the car to adapt and wow, what a difference. The power seems to come it harder and faster with yet less hesitation...what a great mod and this is without a proper cat-back and Stage 2 remap!

I made a little video clip of it today, taken on a phone so not great quality but you get the idea :)

Enjoy!

Sounds mint mate! Will be awesome when you get a proper cat back system on there.

Have you got a link to the downpipe as im looking for one at the moment. Would it fit to a 200cell high flow miltek sports cat ?

I quite like it, makes a nice improvement on the OEM sound.

This is what was bought:

You can get them from http://www.pipewerx.com/ or Awesome GTi.

The DP won't fit to a Milltek Sports Cat because they use the OEM 'twin-pipe' down pipe, PipeWerx is just one large single pipe.

Thanks Aimee :D
