Yeah it has, not a huge amount but it's obvious when you compare it to a standard LCR.
Thanks very much! I love it although I think that the front wheels sit too far in so as soon as my 15mm spacers arrive for the rear, the 10mm will be up front

The car looks lower in real life Dan, if you went lower than this then I think you may have issues.
The respray was well worth it, an expense to do without really but I don't look at the milky top coat in horror anymore!
Thanks Shaun, although I raised the rear by 7mm today as it was sitting a little lower than the front. It was a fiddly job, with all the bits attached to the car but I got there.

Everything I've learnt about this car has been from this forum, just take your time to research everything and then make your choices. I wanted a car that looks good but is subtle, with modifications that are functional and get the most out of what the car already has. Without blowing my own trumpet, if you share the same opinion then you won't go wrong with everything I have done, I think you'll be pleased.
Nah, that's a drop kerb and I have a fair amount of clearance. I can still get it onto pavements by shuffling up then a little more carefully.
I'm extremely happy with my car right now and really appreciate all of the feedback. I know I am not the most advanced in terms of modded LCRs but if anyone local to me or at a meet wants me to go over anything, share knowledge or take them for a spin to demonstrate any part of the car, I'll be more than happy.
Polished Fuel Rail
Well just a quick update from this weekend, I decided to polish up the fuel rail which I am very pleased with.
A small and pretty insignificant mod but I'm collecting some 15mm spacers this week to compliment the new suspension.

Been reading this thread since I joined back in Feb, this is one of my favourite cars on here, looking good JamJay. Interested to see how you get on with your spacers, I've got two sets of 15mm but struggled to get them on the rear. Don't want to pollute your thread with my woes tho but PM if you want to know where I had problems.
Anyway, subscribed now to your thread so looking forward to more progress

I'll be swapping the 10mm that are currently on the rear to the front and then putting the 15mm on the rear. If I think that the 10mm are too much for the front then I'll sell them on and buy some 5mm spacers.

No, please share your problems here, it'll be useful to have the info and for anyone else thinking of following in my footsteps. I am getting them from another member on here who had them fitted so they should at least fit on the hubs with no issues...I hope.

Only when going 30-35mm plus though.
At 20-25mm there is no movement of the rear wheel and the wish bone angle is good.
More drop than this doesn't mean better handling, your actually hampering the handling.

I would say that the car now sits a good 30mm lower than it's OE position but possibly more. The car handles noticeably better than it did before and it finds traction quicker however I would like it a little higher still. When I get time I will be raising it another 10mm all round, it's level at the front and back as it stands now and since I raised the rear slightly, the wheels have dropped backwards again.

I need to raise mine too, my mechanic friend fitted my coilovers. I asked for it to be set to the highest setting but he got a little over enthusiastic and lower way too much, he's a DUB man so its to be expected. My car suffers from the rear wheels pushing forward too.
How are you adjusting your coilovers? Does jacking it up give you sufficient access to adjust the coilovers or do you need to remove the wheels?

Cool. I'm going to wait for you to experiment with the 10's on the front before I order mine then, I'm set on 15 on the rear, but 10 on the front I think will stick out too much.
Well looking at the threads on the front, they're wound down pretty far and I think something might be rubbing on rotation so it needs to go up really. I can get full lock without issues mind you, just concerned about how low it is for the sake of the sump and this rubbing sound which seems only audible inside the car.
To adjust them you really need to whip the wheels off and get your head in the arch to see what you're doing. I hate C-Spanners with a passion, what a sh*t tool but what's the alternative

It's a case of doing a few turns, measuring the gap and then refitting the wheel and seeing how you like it, then going round the other side and doing the same again before moving to the front and repeating. I'd recommend driving onto some bricks if you can and then slotting a trolley jack underneath the rear beam so you can jack up both wheels together, the OE jack in the boot is a death trap. It's a little more tricky for the front though .I'll be doing it on Saturday morning

I had a go putting a 15mm spacer on one of my rear hubs but it didn't sit flush with the outer face of the hub where the wheel normally bolts on to, there was about 3 or 4mm gap, like the centre bit was too long to allow the spacer to fully meet up with the whole hub. I've got a set of ebay alloy spacers and another set I bought from a member here.
Lee69 did suggest that if I just bolted the wheel on it should bring the two together but I didn't fancy trying anything too forceful with it cos I only had the OEM jack so was going to give it another shot when I get a trolley jack for better stability. I'd forgotten you had 10mm spacers on before, did they go on easy enough or did you have to do anything special to make them fit?

If 10mm is perfect with 15 on the rear I think I'll get these done next as I'm not 100% happy with the look since it's been lowered, the height has settled fine but the wheels are too 'inwards' for my liking at the rear especially.
Hmm that's strange but could this be down to the brand? The 15mm I have coming are second hand and have been fitted so with any luck they'll go right on. Did you try sanding your hubs a little or using a wire brush? Perhaps caked on brake dust was preventing it?
The 10mm H&Rs went on perfectly, slipped right on and they sit flush. I don't blame you with the jack, I hate the OE jack, it's very dangerous and especially with coilovers. I have found that because the shock absorbers are shorter and stiffer, when you jack up one wheel, the other wheel on the opposite side lifts from the ground also which will make the car fall off of the jack. If I could get hold of another OE jack, it would be a lot safer.

This is what I found also, the rear wheels with the 10mm spacers look quite nice but the front lets it down as the wheels are too far inset.
