312mm front and 310mm back... bloody hell! Overkill? I thought it was wise not to have rear brakes that "do" too much as it might make it unstable under heavy braking!

they wont do too much, even at heavy breaking the rears will never produce more than front. if anything they will make the car more stable. the pressure exerted on the pad from the piston is not much more than standard, but because its bigger it is better. 312mm on front and 310 on back :funk: will look mad!

the mk4 golf r32 rear brakes are 256x22mm not 310 an the front are 343x32mm i believe the mk5 r32 is the diameters of the back but they wont fit iirc

lovely car though mate

I think your misunderstanding mate, ibiza cupra stud pattern are 5x100 same as mk1 leon and mk4 golf, mk5 golf and mk2 leon are both 5x112 so you can go putting mk5 r32 disks on a 5x100 stud pattern

I still wana see the polished IC

its the one thing i forgot to take a photo of, my mate hs a few on his phone so will try get them from him and show u, was not as nice as cupra.al's intercooler tho ;)

i bet you cant wait to drive this now its pretty much ready,i take it your ap brakes cant be saved?

heres mine http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/sho...hlight=polished+seat+sport+intercooler&page=2

nope, the calipers are cracked down where the bleed nipple screws in, and i dont know anyone who would repair cast iron, will not be safe :( dont know what to do with them...
cannot wait mate to get out on it! i picked my new calipers up today...one problem...they are in black! the guy i got them from painted them black as he was going to stick them on his polo gt tdi but decided against it and bought a new car. i bought caliper paint today, so will paint them and get them on tonight...kinda thinking of putting them straight on and painting them some other time just so i have the car ready :D

id probally paint them after if it was me with all that extra power you have waiting.
you could maybe contact ap about the caliper and see what they say as i might be wrong but arnt the calipers in two peices so maybe they could replace half although i might be completly wrong to think they are splitable

lol i know i will put the calipers on the way they are just for now and ill get paint stripper and strip the paint off them at a later date then laquer them up :D
about splitting the calipers apparently acording to TPS i could, so worth looking into, depends on cost tho...if i fix them ill just put them up for sale.
change of plan wont be putting them on tonight, will do them in the morning because other things have popped up tonight.
