Thanks for all the comments, good and bad :)

i like the way the splitter sit on the part of the bumper hangs down but the central part of the splitter looks odd!

i dont know how you would make it out of one piece

I originally wanted to make something along the lines of this

http://www.604racing.com/Images/blog_04022009_apr_evox_front_splitter_2.jpg

But without the silly metal bits!

I thinks it's a great effort! Looks so much better around the edges of the bumper. Could you not weld an extension to the middle part to make it deeper, bringing it in line with the front of the bumper?

I did think about attaching something to make the middle bit deeper, but tbh I'd spent so much time messing about with it I just wanted to get it on the car!

I have to applaud your efforts mate! Looks great around the sides of the bumper, but looks a bit odd where the two join... it doesn't follow the angle of the bumper in the middle bit. Fair play for having a go though! Run with it for a while and you might keep it!

It is sort of growing on me now. I don't think the pics do it justice....I'll try and get some better pics of it.

the original looks awful to be honest, would have been better to not put it on at all as it doesn't match up or line up with anything on that front bumper and doesn't fit right!
it looks as if its been put on really bably, a bodge:whistle: you might say!:ban:

IMO, your modded version looks loads better! :funk:
it does sit back in the middle a bit but not much, but a definate improvement!! :D
lining it through with the down returns at the edge of the grill area looks a proper job! [B)]
and colour coded to match! nice work, fairplay!!!

oh, and very clever using the heat gun and plywood to get the correct shape! ;)

how long did it take to do?

I started it before I went on holiday last month and only worked on it when I had time off work. So I don't really know how many hours it took tbh.

Thanks :) The colour of my wheels is Rover Hurricane Grey. I bought a few rattle cans of it from Halfords.

I bought my front Cupra bumper off a member on here, luckily it was a perfect colour match! The rear bumper I bought off ebay, That had to be resprayed as it was a bit scratched and I smoothed out the reflecters.

 Love your car dude. :)

Cheers mate :)

I agree, LCR splitter looks bodged on a Cupra bumper.

Good skills on making it suit, much better and very different.

I haven't done anything to my car for a while, so thought I'd treat it to a mod last weekend.

haha take it the light goes out when u lock the doors? linked into the door light wiring?

Yep they're wired to the interior light, so they do whatever the interior light does. They fade on and off too which looks good at night.
