I'm most likely going to get a BMW 330cd M sport. I've always liked the shape of the coupe and the engine is supposed to be one of the best BMW have made :)

aw the ibiza's going

but moving up to a beemer hopefully ;)

I've been looking at BMW 330 diesels and petrols but I think I'm swaying towards a Golf MK4 R32. If I can get a decent insurance quote on the R32 then I'll most likely go for that. I'm just really indecisive atm

Woop! :D Good lad! I've not looked back since buying my Mk4 R32. Awesome car, much nicer build than the Ibiza. Much better handling, 4wd is awesome, get a Non res Milltek and the sound will keep you entertained for ages and ages! :D

Realistically you can get 350 miles to a tank, drive it hard and you'll get 250-300 miles to a tank. Which costs about £60 a tank. Well worth it though! :D

I'm not too bothered about fuel comsumption as I do not drive a lot of miles. It's just the insurance that bothers me! I haven't shopped around properly but a few quotes have come in at roughly £2000. I refuse to spend more than £1500 on insurance. Funnily enough the R32 is cheaper to insure than a 330cd which is 2 insurance groups lower.

The R32 is appealing to me more due to the fact that I'm nearly 23 and the BMW just seems a bit too grown up.

R32 could be a bit of a let down performance wise though. That said they sound amazing.

They arent that quick no. 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds. Not slow, but not WOW. I came from my hybrid Ibiza diesel to an R32 and yes it's not as manic etc, but it doesnt hang around when you want to go. Also, iirc, Altech lives in London and doesnt really get up to any decent speeds really - hence why he had a remap so late as the car didnt really get driven hard, because there wasnt the opportunity to do so. Correct me if I'm wrong Altech :)

1 vote for R32 :)

I'm not so sure, my Ibiza only has a remap. Yeah it's quick but the torque makes it feel faster than it is. If the R32 feels slower I can always throw a supercharger or a couple of turbos under the bonnet

The R32 doesnt feel to pick up as quick, obviously because you havent got that instant punch of boost. And it's not as much "push back in your seat" power, but it does go well. The 4wd alone is worth having. Just for 1st gear flatting with no wheelspin :D Even in the wet ;)

If you can afford the supercharger/turbo/twin turbo kits then good luck! You're looking at the same price you pay for the car for these kits! Literally! Awesome when it's done though. Lambo chasers :D I've just got a Milltek non res cat back, Milltek sports cats and green cotton panel filter on mine and the Milltek alone has improved the drive/power and most of all, noise. :) Just with the full Milltek you can see 260-270bhp (dependant on the car, every car makes totally different power). Get a remap and some cams aswell, you'll be up around the 280-300bhp mark :)

You know you want one......who wants a BMW anyway? :cartman:

I'd go for the Mk5 Gti and remap that. It will be quicker for sure. What about the Edition 30? Or are they too much wonger mate?
